They also scored this lovely Queen Snapper.
A true fish of a lifetime was scored by angler Chris Breicke or Westtown, NY. Check out this AMAZING Rooster Fish release from April 23 of the Adventurer.
“He’s been dreaming of coming to Costa Rica to do this for 40 years,” wrote Jessica DiSanto Briecke on Facebook. “When he was 10 years old he was watching a Sunday morning fishing show and they caught Rooster Fish, it left quite an impression. Captain Fito was a blast to fish with!”
Great work by Captain Fito on delivering this dream Rooster Fish release.
Chris and Catherine Elkins’ group finished up their week of action on the Explorer. Captain Antonio reports nice Sailfish releases.
They also added Yellowfin Tunas and Dorados for the filet bag.
Late in the trip they released a beautiful Rooster Fish.
David Frakers released a world-class Rooster Fish near shore on March 8.
The Harvester also scored a BIG Amberjack off the bottom.

Captain Carlos got off to a hot start in February with this excellent Rooster Fish release by Danielle Hewitt’s group.
Mr. and Mrs. Van den Bogert finished their week of fishing on the Explorer with a wonderful Rooster Fish release:
They also nabbed some nice Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.
The Harvester and Martin Wicks were back at it on the 11th, and the picked up where they left off with this nice Sailfish release and Dorado catch offshore.
Then they came inshore and scored an excellent Rooster Fish release.
The Explorer stayed hot on January 11 with a few excellent Dorados.
They also moved inshore and deployed our tried-and-true Rooster Fish tactic. First step was to grab some 4-6lbs. Bonitas in with the Planer/Spoon rig:
Then we bridle the Bonita and send to down to the reef.
The tactic yielded this excellent Rooster Fish catch which was released after the photo.
Captain Fito kept the good times rolling on November 30 with a nice array of inshore scores.
This Amberjack is a tasty treat, and was followed by a big Rooster Fish release.
Even a feisty Barracuda couldn’t resist the Adventurer‘s spread.
The Alson crew finished up their week of fishing in Costa Rica with a very productive inshore romp. This BIG Congrio is the best tasting fish on the reef and will make their end-of-trip dinner a real treat.
The also added a final Rooster Fish release to their impressive haul of catch-and-release trophies.
