One day after posting a landmark day on the Harvester, Justin Harmening brought his Sailfish-releasing energy to the 23-foot Adventurer on Feburary 24.

Jack Crevalle and Dorados rounded out the trip. Excellent work by the unstoppable Captain David.

Justin Harmening bulldozed his way into the FishingNosara Hall of Fame with a magficient THIRTEEN Sailfish release performance on February 23.

To say that these fish were aggressive is an understatement. Captain Alex could barely get the spread deployed before a bait got wrecked by a hard-charging Sailfish.

Team Harmening handled multiple hook-ups throughout the day. Great work by the crew to keep these fights organized and the lines un-tangled.

All this reeling can work up a mighty appetite, but this nearly 70lbs. Dorado should help with the hunger.

A few smaller Dorados rounded out the meat haul.

Captain William continued to deliver the goods for his clients on the 23rd. First up was this excellent Sailfish release.

After the release, the Wanderer stalked a pack of feeding birds and found that the bait they were eating also was serving big Dorados and Yellowfin tunas.

Legendary FishingNosara Hall of Famer Dan Johnson is back on the blue water, and on his first trip he brought Moises (son to Capitan Fico) and his friend Anthony on the Wanderer for a fun day offshore.

Multiple Sailfish releases were augmented by a medium-size Dorado.

Great work by these young guns and Dan Johnson.
On the 22nd, angler Chris Graves and his posse elected for the afternoon 5 hour session with Captain Alex on the Harvester.

Despite the short trip, the Sailfish were ready for the fight and came into the spread one after the other.

Not a bad way to spend the afternoon, right?

The Sailfish were fired up in late February, and on the 22nd the Discoverer with angler John O’Brian scored a bunch of nice releases.

Captain Carlos kept the battleship in the fight, while Mate Kevin saw to the safe handling and release of these monsters.

The Discoverer welcomed some ladies from the Yoga Paradise Retreat led by Beverly Brown, Belinda Taylor, and Carla Kemp on February 21.

Several nice Sailfish releases provided great memories for this group.

Also they nagged this excellent Dorado for the dinner table.

Big fish and big smiles is what we love to see!

Fish Tacos anyone?

Our good friend Adam LeMaster has returned to Nosara for another fishing campaign.

This seasoned angler found the Sailfish waiting for him, and the big battleship Discoverer reports multiple releases.

With more trips coming this week, it’s good to see that the boys will be well fed thanks to these nice Dorados.

Captain Alex and the Harvester welcomed angler Brad Watson’s posse for a fun trip offshore on the 19th.

The mega panga rolled into Sailfish City and found the big billfish bristling for battle.

Great work by Mate Wilson to safely handle and release all of these monsters.

Phil Egan’s hot streak continued on February 18. Here is the email he sent us after the trip:
Hey there Craig –
Had another killer day on the 5 hr trip on the Harvester yesterday. 3-4 miles out we had our first sail hooked up – the guys were still setting up and only had the shotgun line in the water.

Went on to go 5 for 7 on sails and 1 for 2 on dorado (24 lbs). That boat is a bad ass fishing machine!
Thanks for 3 great days of fishing. The boats and crews are all top notch. The guys all fish hard and with enthusiasm.

I can’t help but think they’ve all probably caught thousands of sails in their lifetimes, but treat each hookup with the excitement of it being their first.

Until next year!
Phil Egan
