The Wanderer and angler Steve Putbrese put on a show on March 18 with multiple excellent Sailfish releases backed-up with some tasty Dorado for the dinner table.






The Dorados came in bunches with some double hook-ups.


John Muesse was staying a few hours north of us in Tamarindo, but he was wise enough to make a day trip to where the fishing is best…straight to Nosara!








The Harvester reports several sweet Sailfish release for this fun-loving group.

Donna Finley’s group got their week of fishing of to a nice start with a super Sailfish release on the Wanderer during their March 17th trip.



Chris and Charlotte Keane joined the Harvester on March 17 and just five hours of fishing loaded up on a lifetime’s worth of great catches.







These high-flying Sailfish came in hot and heavy, but the mega panga was up for the challenge.









All of these Sailfish were safely released as usual.


They didn’t go home empty-handed, thanks to this excellent Dorado on deck.

The Discoverer set a new high mark for the season on March 16 with NINE Sailfish releases.


Jason Canin and his group were the beneficiaries of this white-hot bite.

The clear highlight was this Double Sailfish release, a truly challenging feat by Team Canin.



Captain Fico kept scored throughout the month of March…check out this great array of catches from the 15th. They started with a nice Rooster Fish release by Kyle Sever.


Then they nabbed the elusive Blue Jack Crevalle, a rarity for this area and the source of amazing ceviche.



Team Sever then headed offshore and scored this excellent Sailfish release.



Our great friend Mark Cooney was on board and our Northeast Representative added to his legend with this another Sailfish release.




Katie Paulsen’s group returned to the Wanderer on the 14th and had a great day with wide variety of catches.


This tasty Dorado broke the ice early on, then Team Paulsen belted up to battle some nice Sailfish.




They totaled three Sailfish releases on this trip.




A surprise Yellowfin Tuna was caught late in the day; a sign of things to come as we enter our second high season this month.

The mega panga and anglers Miles Clarkson and Aaron Revere had a mammoth day of Sailfish releases on March 14, with big numbers of big releases.










Miles sent us a very nice message:
“Craig, We had a great day fishing with Alex & Wilson!”
“They were very professional and put us on a bunch of Sails. Love the boat, too.”




“We has a great weak in Nosara and will make sure to recommend you guys to anyone we know heading down there!”










On March 13, the Harvester battled an especially strong Sailfish. This monster fought angler John Preiss on both sides of the mega panga, all the way to a safe release.
