The tasty green Dorados are back in the area and the Wanderer is doing all she can to stay on top of them. On the morning of May 12 client Lion caught three of these Mahi-Mahi with the big one weighing over 25lbs. For some reason chose to take a picture with the smallest one.

This came on the heels of client Kate knocking out 5 Dorados on a 2.5hr. Sunset trip the night prior. Clearly the Wanderer is apt to adapt her tactics as the bite changes.ย

Captain David welcomed client John Winter Preiss for the first of four scheduled days of fishing on the powerful Explorer. He has full days planned later this week and decided to ease into his adventure via a 2.5 hour Sunset cruise to get acclimated.

It didn’t take John long to fill up his cooler though, because in this short amount of time he hooked up a 15 lbs. Red Grouper and the very yummy Congrio.

We’ll see what John has in store for these fish over the next few days, but at least we know he’ll have some good nourishing meals to get him through the trips. Good luck Mr. Preiss!

Captain David has been delivering memorable Sunset fishing trips for his clients. Check out this multi-species evening:

Their 2.5 hour session yielded (from L to R) a Red Grouper, a Yellowfin Tuna, a White Tuna, and a nice Congrio. These guys made it back to shore just in time to get these filets to a restaurant…sounds like the perfect evening!

No let up from the boys on the FishingNosara flagship Wanderer! Captain William and First Mate Alex bid farewell to Josh Luke after his incredible marlin release, then welcome Colin Conces and his family for a Sunset cruise.

The family had great success on the Red Grouper that have swarmed into the area the last few days, boating a nice stack of filets for the dinner table.

Mr. Conces also added this delicious White Tuna to the sushi plate. Another relaxing yet fruitful Sunset family fishing trip from the comfy Wanderer.

Nosara Paradise Rentals GM Javier Hernandez took a quick 2.5 hr Sunset cruise with Captain David on the Explorer and el jefe pulled in reef monsters that would cause the most refined palette to salivate.

These Red Groupers are far and away the most delicious of the Grouper family and the Congrio is legendary for its tasty white meat. From monster snook to inshore assaults Senior Javier has the tools and the talent to bring home the bacon. Yummy!

The Explorer notched another great sunset trip with client Sean and his young friends. In just three short hours they boated a handful of Yellowfin Tuna andย  nice Jack Crevalle.

The inshore reefs around Garza are as familiar to Captain David as the back of his own hand and once again he put the Explorer directly on top of the fish. Great fishing performance from Sean, Captain David, and the unstoppable Explorer.

Wonderful sunset family fishing trip today on the Wanderer. Patrick Dollard and his family caught three Jack Crevalles and four Bonitos on a very relaxing three hour cruise.

Mix the tranquil conditions with some rod-bendin’ action and you have the recipe for a perfect Costa Rican evening. The big smile on her face says it all:

Respect to this young man who can handle his own fish for the picture. Another satisfied family from FishingNosara!

The Wanderer took client Christian on a 2.5 hour sunset fishing trip on January 12 and delivered some great inshore action in short order. First he caught five Jack Crevalles and a Bonita as a warm up, then finished the trip strong by boating a 25lbs. Cubera Snapper. These clients were really excited when they got back to shore.

It’s worth noting that earlier in the day Captain David of the Explorer also reported good action on Jack Crevalles and a Cubera snapper. Our Captains are not selfish; they share fishing intelligence with each other which gives our clients that little extra edge when they hit the water. Excellent sunset trip by Captain William and the FishingNosara flagship Wanderer!
