The Explorer played host to a company outing starring El Jefe Javier Hernandez doing work on the inshore species that have moved into the area. Looking sharp in his dress whites, the GM of Nosara Paradise Rentals showed his mastery of marine marksmanship.
Javier nailed this nice Jack Crevelle in the late afternoon and piled the fishbox with several other nice catches. Nice evening of “work” for Javier!
FishingNosara is famous for our 2.5hr. Sunset fishing trips. These short excursions are a perfect way to acclimate novice anglers to the craft of Costa Rica sportfishing and also delivers a breathtaking view of the golden Pacific sunsets.
Claire and Chris Lehto joined Captain David on a sunset trip and made the most of the 2.5 hours: They caught three nice Yellowtail snappers and a meaty Cubera Snapper estimated to weigh 25lbs. Fantastic work in no time at all…another great sunset fishing trip for the Explorer.
Captain David on the Explorer is doing great things for all our clients big and small. Check out this great Cubera Snapper these little dudes pulled in on a three hour sunset cruise on March 24.
These sunset cruises are a fantastic way for youngsters to learn the craft of sportfishing without committing to a full day out on the ocean.
Jack and Matty along with clients Jim and Bryan were out on the Explorer getting geared up for the Ship of Fools Tournament this weekend. With a scoring system that rewards big billfish and multiple inshore species in a weighted fashion, this local tourneo is THE bragging rights event of the season.
To prepare, we are tightening up our Cuberra Snapper tactics in a way that also permits for solid Yellowfin action. This way we can fill up the scorecard in multiple ways. Matty nailed this one late in the day on a 2.5 hour evening trip.
Javier and our great friend Brooke Shields took an evening cruise on the Explorer with fine results. While it was “slow” all day for the other boats, Captain David strolled in and boated a dozen fish in 1.5 hours. Not so slow after all!
Javier claims that he will catch the first Marlin on the Explorer, but for now these little fellas will have to do.
These clients are friends of Captain William and had a great trip: perfect conditions and a great Cubera Snapper…and a really cool hat!
Captain William and the crew barely had time to say goodbye to Jody Barone because the Wanderer was booked for a Sunset cruise that evening.
Client Ronald Smith and his party enjoyed a cool sunset cruise. They caught a 20lbs. Amberjack and enjoyed pods of whales and packs of dolphins. As usual with the Sunset cruise, fishing is optional but relaxation and fun are mandatory!
On June 23rd client TJ Boulware and his party were on the Wanderer for a 2.5 hour sunset cruise and caught three decent-sized Yellowfin tunas.
These sunset cruises are a great chance for novice anglers to get a feel for fishing without the expense of a full day trip. Our crews are excellent teachers of the craft of fishing and they speak very good English.
Even if you have little or no experience on the water FishingNosara’s Captains can deliver for you the fishing trip of a lifetime. Clearly from these pictures these ladies got the fishing bug and will no doubt find themselves on the water really soon.
June 10th was a chance for the staff of Nosara Paradise Rentals to get out on the water and do a little ‘research’ for the company. General Manager Javier Hernandez, Concierge Manuel DeCampos, and Chief Groundskeeper Grevin Hernandez had great success onย a three-hour sunset cruise.
They caught seven 20lbs. Yellowfin tunas, a 15lbs. Ponpano, a 12lbs. Amberjack, and a 12lbs. Rainbow runner. Our staff is the best in the business and they can fish!
Captain Vibert escorted this quintet of yogis for a three hours sunset cruise and in addition to enjoying the scenery, turtles, whales, and dolphins they also got on a few fish.
