Florida anglers Bob and Lori Sherley joined by Chet and Carole Jasak and his wife for their first of three big days on the Wanderer.

Big Yellowfin Tunas were the order of the day, with the flagship reported several great scores.

Later in the day the Yellas yielded the way for some super Sailfish releases.

Bob Zuniga’s group nabbed the fish of a lifetime on July 11 with this strong Striped Marlin release on July 11.

Later on in the trip they added a nice White Tuna…a rare find this far offshore.

Here’s what Bob had to say in an email: “I just wanted to take the time to let you and your staff know that my group and I had the time of a lifetime! From the fishing, to the breakfast and all of the accommodations, we enjoyed every second we spent at your paradise! Your staff took customer service to the next level and the fishing is unlike I have ever encountered in the world. I just wanted to again send you my thanks and on behalf of my group… PURA VIDA!!! Robert Zuniga”

The porpoises are running hard in early July, and our bottlenosed friends have the Yellowfin Tuna rounded up and ready for delivery.

Michael McDonald and his son loaded up great Yellowfin Tunas throughout the day.

With the fishboxes full of filets, Young Mr. McDonald hooked up a Sailfish and fought him all the way to a safe release.

Captain William closed out the month of June with a great run of catches and lots of big smiles for his clients.

This nice Yellowfin Tuna had good size to it and tastes great, while this Dorado…well, it still tastes great.

Sailfish were also on the prowl and with Captain David (of the Adventurer) filling in at the mate position, this big billfish was no match for the mighty flagship.

More great big Yellowfin Tuna catches rounded out the haul as the Wanderer finished off the month with more full fishboxes.

Patrick Anders, Crystal Hearn, John Hearn, and the Keyes Family checked in for the first of several good days of fishing on June 23.

Mate Johnny could barely keep up with the fileting…as soon as he was done with the knife, another nice Yella was on the line.

Captain William reported lots of nice Yellowfin Tuna, most of them caught on ultralight tackle that these Texas anglers brought from home.

Sometimes the fish overcame these feather-weight Trout rods:

But overall these tough-as-nail Texas anglers were up to the task.
