The Explorer finished off the month with angler Brian Messerich reporting a BIG Yellowfin Tuna backed up by a nice Dorado.

All of this on just a 5 hour trip…imagine the back-breaking load of filets they would score on a full day!
Julie Edwards’ family had a big day on the 32-foot Discoverer on the 19th, highlighted by this MONSTER Blue Marlin.

They also scored a Sailfish during the day.

In addition to the safe billfish releases, this group added a nice Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna.

Great work by Captain Carlos and the big battleship!
Our old pal David Little returned to Nosara in mid-November and these UK anglers had a big time on the Adventurer.

This big Dorado is an example of their great variety of edible catches that will look great on the dinner plate.

Most of the boats are on the hill for their annual refit and repaint to prepare for the new season. But Javier and Grevan felt the fishing itch, so they took the Transporter out to the reef and scored a boatload of Yellowfin Tunas in just under two hours.

That’s right, the Transporter…our 14-foot ferry boat that our clients know well from the trip from Playa Garza out to the boats.

Well, um….two things here: 1.) This is the boat record for the Transporter, and 2.) You know how we always say you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Nosara? This is what we are talking about.

The Discoverer continues to soldier on during the month of September. On the 19th, the big battleship scored Dorados and Yellowfin Tuna.

Great work by Captain Carlos and the unstoppable Discoverer!
Our friend Alicia Blackledge returned to Nosara for the second year in a row to enjoy some blue water fishing during the so-called “off season”.

Captain Fico delivered the goods with big Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.

Geaux Team Blackledge!

Ken Burns returned for more action on September 7. After marking up the Discoverer‘s billfish release scorecard, they pursued meat fish and came away with seven beautiful Yellowfin Tunas.

Great work by Captain Carlos and the big battleship.
Billy Starnes had a big day on August 26 with Captain Carlos reporting multiple Sailfish releases backed up with a boatload of filets.

The billfish releases are truely memorable, however the bellies were filled by these big Yellowfin Tunas…and that massive Dorado on the deck.

Great work by the Discoverer!
Captain Alex continued his run of hot fishing on August 26 with a bevy of Sailfish releases backed up by Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.

Mulitple Sailfish were caught during this quick 5-hour trip.

Big Dorados came calling later in the morning.

The final fish of the day was this nice Yellowfin Tuna caught on spinning tackle.

Great work by the mega panga Harvester.
Captain Alex entered the closing stretch of the white-hot August bite with a wonderful Blue Marlin release on the 25th.

Angler Stuart Smith bested this bad boy, and it was just the beginning of a banner day.

Captain Alex handled the safe release, complete with his signature move: the Kiss Goodbye:

A big Yellowfin Tuna came along, and then a nice team of Dorados also found the fishbox.

As if there arms weren’t worn out by this time, a paid of late-day Sailfish came calling and fought bravely all the way to the safe releases.

Awe-inspiring day on the water by the mega panga Harvester!
