The Explorerย welcomed Jess King and Elizabeth Rasch for a fun fishing campaign on August 17.
They kept the rods bent with multiple Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas.
“First ever off shore fishing trip in Costa Rica,” wrote Jess on social media. “It was a blast! Caught 3 Yellow Fin Tuna and 2 Dorado!! Seen hundreds of dolphins and a sea turtle!”
The Adventurer is a perfect choice for young anglers looking to get exposed to blue water fishing. On August 15 Captain David reported solid Yellowfin Tuna action.
Theย Wanderer welcomed Andrew Pereira and the crew from Stoked on Fishing TV for the first of several trips with FishingNosara.
Captain William got them acclimated to the blue water with a couple early Sailfish release.
The next pair of fish should keep the refrigerator full: a nice Yellowfin Tuna and a MASSIVE Dorado.
The highlight of the day was a double Sailfish hookup and dual release.
Great work by Master Captain William and Mate Elias to safely handle and release both billfish.
Henry Mancini joined the big battleshipย Discoverer on August 13, and Captain Carlos reports an incredible Blue Marlin release.
They didn’t go home empty-handed, thanks to these excellent Yellowfin Tunas.
Theย Harvester and Mike Miltenberg scored big on August 13 with multiple excellent Yellowfin Tunas on deck.
Theย Adventurer got an early start on August 11th with angler Tanner Waterman and Captain David going on a Dawn Patrol fishing mission.
Fishing’ Accomplished!
Joey Sallustio group took to theย Wanderer on August 11 and scored big on Yellowfin Tunas.
They also added a wonderful Rooster fish release late in the trip.
Team Sallustio joined Captian Carlos on the 9th and they lit up the scoreboard early with this Sailfish release.
They they battled BIG Yellowfin Tuna throughout the afternoon, with this excellent sampling shown here:
When the big Yellowfin Tunas are on the run, even NPR General Manager Javier ‘Rey Robalo’ Hernandez has to get in on the action. Look at this rightous Yellowfin Tuna scored byย El Jefe.
Our good friend Ed Smith brought his boys along for a day of fishing on August 8. This renowned outdoor photographer got a great subject for his folio, as Captain Carlos reports multiple 100+lbs. Yellowfin Tunas on ice.
Here’s what Ed posted to Facebook: “Unbelievable big tuna day fishing with Captain Carlos. Every fish pictured is over 100lbs. We are all destroyed and toast. According to Sean, its time to drink and celebrate. Pura Vida”
