While trolling they also found a school of nice 15-20lbs. Yellowfin Tunas for the dinner table.
The Harvester welcomed client Larry Grantham for a excellent day of fishing action, highlighted by a pair of awesome Rooster fish releases.
The first one was a whopper, but the second was also an excellent trophy fish.
The next day Captain William returned to the spot with client Brian Petersen and they found more strong Red Grouper action:
Captain David welcomed Carl Lindberg or Vermont for a very productive day of inshore filet gathering on March 9.
The highlight was the elusive Congrio. One of the few sea creatures that can swim backwards, this unusual fish/eel hybrid yields a tasty white fish that is similar to lobster tail…yummy!
He also nabbed a sandwich-sized Dorado and a nice White Tuna.
He finished off the day with a pair of big Yellowfin Tunas.
Ed Dietrich and Keith Igler stayed inshore on March 8 with Captain William reporting good action on tasty Red Groupers.
With the dinner shopping completed, they stayed on the reefs and Keith managed this beautiful Rooster Fish release:
After scoring offshore the day before, Captain Fico returned inshore and delivered this fat Broomtail Grouper for his clients.
Lynda Koehn filled the refrigerator with tasty Snapper filets, thanks to the effort of Captain Alex on the Harvester.
The mega panga had been hunting Cubera Snapper all week with Craig with lots of near-misses…looks like persistence pays!
Great work by the ‘Never Surrender’ Harvester!
Captain Fico is a master of both inshore fishing and offshore blue water battling, evidenced by this healthy Sailfish release.
Great fish handling by Mate Elias to see this beauty released alive and well.
Lynda Koehn signed up on the battleship Discoverer for a morning half day trip and scored this lovely Rooster fish inshore:
They also had enough time to get to the nearby deep water and pulled up a nice Dorado for the dinner table:
Captain Alex proved his inshore prowess on March 2 with a great variety of catches.
A pair of Rooster fish releases highlighted the action, but this group also added a nice Red Grouper and the elusive Congrio…a rare catch in our area that yield the best meat in the Pacific.
