Harris Savin returned to the Adventurer for another solo mission deep behind the enemy lines of the local blue water fish population.

They targeted trolling species and were rewarded with this whopping 30+ lbs. Wahoo.

Captain Carlos and Harris polished off the sushi just in time to add three tasty White Tunas to the fishbox.

They added a big Dorado to their collected later in the trip, bringing to a close another great fishin’ mission!

The Wanderer stayed inshore today as client David Schwertner had his sights set on big bottom fish. He is already in the FishingNosara Hall of Fame for some legendary catches on the Explorer late last summer, and he may just get in again based on this amazing catch:

Our new Poseidon rods were designed to withstand some big fishing action, and it is clear to say they passed this test:

That is one mammoth of a Cubera Snapper, even by our standards!

Add this monster to this nice little Broomtail grouper that he nabbed earlier in the trip and you got the receipe for lots of good-eatin’ for David Schwertner

The Wanderer put on a fishing clinic with client Gordon Nielsen on February 11. Captain William deployed the tried-and-true tactic of following feeding porpoises to the perfect spot.

These spinning porpoises led the way to the blue water break where the Sailfish were ready for battle.

The first releases featured some high-flyers, but Captain Williams deft boat-handling combined with First Mate Alex’s masterful fish-handling spelled trouble for these Sailfish.

Around lunchtime Gordon and the boys put a trio of Dorados on ice…always nice to add some filets to your photographs!

The Sailfish bite fired back up in the afternoon with another pair of fired-up releases.

Great work by Gordan Nielsen on board the baddest boat in the bay!

Client Louis Quevillin and his boys booked the Explorer for a brief 2.5 hour visit to the blue water, and Captain David kept his Sailfish hot streak alive despite the short fishing hours.

.

They didn’t leave empty handed with this tasty White Tuna on ice as well.

It’s a real treat to see such big smiles from such little anglers; at its best fishing is a family sport and it’s an honor to introduce youngsters to the craft of sportfishing.

Paul West and Amanda Sterling took a whirlwind trip throughout the whole country of Costa Rica, but when it was time to go fishing this Neptune Beach guy knew exactly where to go: the FishingNosara flagship Wanderer!

Amanda was neck deep in the action all day long, starting off with this fat Dorado and then adding a small White Tuna for the sushi platter.

The big highlight of the trip was this awesome Sailfish released by Ms. Sterling

ย

“I am so proud of Amanda Sterling a 9′ Sailfish, 100 lbs, off the coast of Costa Rica, truly a rock star!” writes Paul. “Thank you…you guys are the best!”

Captain David turned in an awesome performance on a morning half day on February 10 with client Bill Zaidel and his son.

Giant Sailfish swarmed the boat early in the trip, keeping Mate Kevin super busy in the cockpit.

They also scored a pair of nice Dorados around 10am, then added a few more around noon.

More Sailfish were tearing up the spread, but Bill and boys showed no mercy.

Excellent five hour trip yielding four Sailfish releases…that’s how we do it on the Super panga.

Kenneth Kelly and his group come to us from the great plains of Nebraska and though there ain’t a lot of deep sea fishing back home, they made themselves right at home in Sailfish City.

The first Sailfish strike of the day put these Cornhuskers to the test, but with First Mate Alex’ coaching they performed brilliantly.

By mid-day these folks were old pros!

At the end of the 8 hour trip they had notched the scorecard with 6 Sailfish releases!

Great work by Captain William and the famous Wanderer.

The Adventurer welcomed Jose Luis Barzuna on February 9 and this guy was on the fish early and often.

This small fish were a nice icebreaker, but the true fish-of-a-lifetime came calling in the afternoon:

Wow! That is a grande Sailfish even by Costa Rica standards. Estimated by Captain Carlos at over 150lbs., this monster was safely released as usual.

Amazing action from the awesome Adventurer!
