Jacksonville angler Rory Gregg scored a nice Rooster fish with Captain David on the Adventurer.
“We worked hard and was slow most of the day but scored a nice rooster at the end,” writes Rory. “David was great!”

The evening rains in early May had a profound effect on the inshore fishery, as cool nutrient rich water flows into the sea from the network of rivers around Garza and fires up the near-shore species.
Check out this mammoth Rooster fish release, caught just minutes before the end of an afternoon trip on May 1.

We had a round of rainstorms come through the area during late April, meaning that all the trash discarded during the dry season came washing down the mountain to Garza Beach.
Captain William organized a group of Garza residents to patrol the beach and clean up the refuse.
Great work by the folks in Garza to preserve their lovely community.
To celebrate the day’s work, Captain William loaded up some of our friends from Nosara Terratours for an afternoon of inshore meat harvesting.
Later in the week it was back to business for the mighty Wanderer as several clients found fun-sized Dorados near to shore.
To close out the month, Captain William headed offshore with Shauna Duggar’s family for some sweet Sailfish action.
They closed out the week with a lovely inshore action, highlighted by this Cuberra Snapper score:
Also the low tide revealed the nearby Pink Island, so a few members of the group took a dip to visit this coral beach.

A group of fun-loving CCA NC anglers led by Anita Walker added an extra day to their fishing schedule with the specific target of Rooster Fish.

The Wanderer stayed inshore during late-April to take advantage of an influx of 5-10lbs. Red Groupers.
These may not look impressive, but don’t forget that they are coming in multiple strikes and the fishbox fills up quickly.
In addition to the meat yield, the strikes are fun and the fights are easy.

Captain Alex nabbed a super high-flying Saifish to close out the month of April.

The Explorer welcomed angler Thomas Biggs for a quick 5-hr. trip on the 21st, and they score big filets.
This large Tuna was backed up by a healthy 25lbs. Dorado.

Our old pal Paul Ewald returned for a fun week of fishing on his favorite boat: the 23′ Adventurer with the unstoppable Captain David.
This fat Yellowfin Tuna is just a taste of the great action delivered by the inshore switchblade.
