David Kinney and the boys stayed inshore and filled the filet bag with two of our most tasty morsels.
These Congrios are a fish/eel hybrid which are a real challenge to catch. Did you know that these creatures have the ability to swim backwards?
Later on they boated several nice-sized Red Groupers, perfect for sandwiches.
Great work by the Harvester
Harry Adams pulled a beautiful haul with solid inshore action on the morning of the 28th.
After this a huge Broomtail Grouper, theย Explorer backed it up with a nice Rooster fish release.
Later in the week theย Explorer welcomed Bill Laurie. They headed offshore and pulled off a nice Sailfish release.
FishingNosara Hall of Famer Dan Johnson returned to the Wanderer on the 28th for another round of blue-water billfish battlin’. They nabbed this beautiful Sailfish release:
Great fish handling by Mate Johnson to see this lovely creature swim away safely.
Captain William finished the month strong with a very productive trip, highlighted by this nice Blue Marlin.
Later in the day they set up on a nice pod of Dorados, boating several of these nice monsters.
The fish kept biting even after the clients’ arms wore out, so Mate Wilson reeled up the last one of the day.
The Harvester delivered the fish of a lifetime for angler Eric West with this amazing Blue Marlin release on February 25.
This hard-fighter submitted after a whirlwind 45 minute fight, and was safely revived and released by Captain Alex.

The billfish keep biting as client Ronald Carns reports an excellent Sailfish release from his February 24th half day trip.
Captain Fico closed out the month strong with a whirlwind of trips. The barroom brawler scored lots of nice Sailfish releases:
They also piled the fishbox high with great filets of Dorado and Snapper.
As always the most important thing is big smiles and fun times on the Explorer:
James Conner proved his angling prowess by besting a big bad Blue Marlin on February 21 with Captain Alex.
This monster has some serious shoulders on it and looks like she’s been hitting the weights.
Great work to catch and release this beefy Blue.
On February 20 the Explorer kept up the hot action with Mark Cooney and George Pile returning for more meaty filets.
This big Pompano will yield excellent ceviche; they also added a handful of tasty Snappers.
