These new twin Yamaha F150s will ensure reliable horsepower for the season to come.
Ian Smith and his family kept the family fishing vibes going on the 20th with this nice Dorado score.
Julie Edwards’ family had a big day on the 32-foot Discoverer on the 19th, highlighted by this MONSTER Blue Marlin.
They also scored a Sailfish during the day.
In addition to the safe billfish releases, this group added a nice Dorado and a Yellowfin Tuna.

Our old pal David Little returned to Nosara in mid-November and these UK anglers had a big time on the Adventurer.
This big Dorado is an example of their great variety of edible catches that will look great on the dinner plate.
Captain Alex posted the trip of the season so far with Terry and Julie Edwards’ group loading up the trophy case with excellent releases.
This MASSIVE Blue Marlin was the headliner of the trip.
Shortly after that battle, the mega panga nabbed a wonderful Saifish release.
Team Edwards came inshore to finish the day, and saved the best for last…this Rooster Fish weighed 72lbs. according to the Boca Grip.
The IGFA All-Tackle Record is 114lbs., however the second place fish was 85lbs. This fish caught by the Harvester is close to the old record.
Most impressively, the record fish were in 1960 and 1954 respectively…clearly this size of Rooster Fish have not been seen in more than 5 decades.

On November 18 the Explorer delivered a great fishing experience for this young angler.
It’s always a treat to show kiddos the art of blue water fishing in Costa Rica.

Julie Edwards’ family followed up their big action early in the week with another day of big blue water scores on the 17th
A big Sailfish score started the day off on the right foot, and was then backed-up with lots of nice Dorados.
Great job by Captain Alex and Mate Kevin on the mega panga Harvester.
John Hernandez stayed inshore with Captain Fico on the 17th, and scored one of the biggest Rooster Fish we have seen:
Easily weighing in at 60+lbs., this pez gallo was released after taking these pictures.
They also scored a Dorado for the dinner table.

The barroom brawler welcomed angler Russell Critchlow for a fun day of blue water catching.
They scored a nice Sailfish release, and backed it up with a nice Dorado.

Captain Alex had a bountiful trip on November 14 with angler Matthew Tolley reeling in multiple nice Sailfish.
These pelagics were lined up like a column of soldiers, keeping Captain Alex and Mr. Tolley busy all day long.
Most importantly, all of these monsters were safely handled and released, due to the care expressed by Mate Wilson and Captain Alex.
It wasn’t all trophy fish releases. Matthew went home with a big bag of fish filets thanks to these delicious Dorados.
