Captain William welcomed James Pfluger and his posse for a fun day of offshore hunting on the 13th, and they ticked the scorecard with a nice Sailfish release.
Awesome work by the mighty flagship!
Paul Arthur and his fishing buddy Ricky Kay upped the ante on their second day of fishing, with TWO Marlin releases backed up by one of the biggest Dorados we’ve ever seen.
Want to get a sweet fishing jersey like this one? We don’t make them so you can’t, unless you are like Paul Arthur’s group and get your own made in advance of your trip.
Three Marlin releases in less than two days is a remarkable feat, but when you add in this MONSTER Dorado you get the definition of a perfect fishing day:
Amazing action from the mega panga Harvester!
Captain Alex welcomed anglers Paul Arthur and Ricky Kay for a four-day fishing mission, and early on in their adventure they ran into some hungry world-class billfish.
This high-flying Blue Marlin was the highlight of their first day on May 12, which also featured three Sailfish releases.
Excellent hunting by Captain Alex and safe fish handling by Captain David (on loan from the Adventurer) means that these big boys will be around to be caught again in the future.
Great job by the Harvester!
The Discoverer welcomed a fun-loving group led by angler Lynsey Wheeler for a productive half day of action on May 10. A nice Sailfish release got things rolling:
Then a nice haul of Yellowfin Tunas rounded out the day.
Filets on ice and a trophy release for the scrapbook…all is a half-day’s work for the big battleship Discoverer.
On May 7 Captain Alex whipped up a Yellowfin Tuna feeding frenzy on the Harvester. Check out these excellent catches:
Our old pal TJ Conrads was on the scene to welcome these Yella Fellas.
Derrell McCraryย is a multi-time FishingNosara Hall of Famer and he added to his resume early in the month with this awe-inspiring Rooster Fish release.
This massive monster was released after the photo. Great catch by Mr. McCrary and excellent fish-handling by Mate Johnson.
The Discoverer nabbed an awesome Sailfish release on May 4.
All smiles for angler Jerry Miller and his group. They returned the next day for more trophy fish releases.
After the sweet Sailfish, they topped off the trophy room with an excellent Rooster fish release.
When the offshore bite is a good as it’s been recently, only a fool would stay inshore and plunk around for little fish…the smart move is to listen to the advice of the long-tenured Captains of FishingNosara and head offshore.
Angler John Grover took heed of Captain Alex’ advice and found the big blue water beasties lurking about a dozen miles from shore.
Three anglers, three bites, three fish-of-a-lifetime (one slipped away after being de-hooked but before the picture). Not bad for just 5 hours work.
Great job by Captain Alex, Mate Wilson and the Harvester!
The offshore bite has been on fire the last few days, and it looks like our Captains’ sharing of knowledge is paying off big time.
The Harvester called up Captain Fico on his phone and let him know that the big action was going on a dozen miles out in the blue water.
Angler Nicholas Grothe was the beneficiary of this action and scored multiple Sailfish releases backed up with perfect-for-eating Yellowfin Tunas filets.
2018 All Star Calgary Flames goalkeeper Mike Smith traded his blocker pads for fishing reels on April 30 and brought his family to Nosara for some excellent blue water action on April 30.

The whole family got in on the action with many excellent catches.
After several big Dorado scores, Mike deployed the flyrod to nabbed another tasty Mahi.
Great work by this fun group of Canadian anglers
