The Wanderer welcomed fun-loving Texans Harold and Cindy Derby and their friends Eugene and Pam Patton for an exquisite day of action on August 6.

Lots of great Sailfish action was reported by Captain William.

Fred Schroder scored the fish of a lifetime with Captain Alex on August 6. Take a gander at this MASSIVE Black Marlin:

The Harvester backed this monster down aggressively to keep the fight short and sweet; a benefit to both fish and angler.

Later in the day they also released a big Sailfish:

Amazing work by Captain Alex and Mate Kevin on the Harvester.
The Discoverer is equally adept at conquering inshore trophies as she is fighting big billfish…check out this memorable Rooster Fish release caught just a few miles from shore.

Truly a bucket-list caliber catch from the big battleship!
Rusty McClain, our new friend from Texas, stayed inshore on the 4th and boated a HUGE Cubera Snapper.

Tasty Snapper filets coming right up, along with a side order of sandwich-sized Dorado:

The Harvester welcomed Harold Derby’s great group for the first of their three fishing days, and they brought the best element for a good day on the water: Great attitudes!

Captain Alex stayed on the hunt as they gathered Bonita for bait.

The bite was a little slow, with a few mystery fish spitting the hooks.

Still all smiles for these big fishing Texans who are primed for a great week of action.

Javier and some of the Nosara Paradise Rentals staff put up the “Gone Fishing” sign in the office and take the afternoon to enjoy some family fishing on the Wanderer.

Dario nabbed this sandwich-sized Dorado, and then Yosef boated a nice Cubera Snapper.

However the boys were beat out by this monster Snapper:

Meanwhile over on the Explorer Captain Fico celebrated his birthday with his young son bending a rod with this Yellowtail Snapper:

Great family fun for the staff!
Josh Metzgar joined the Wanderer for a brief 2.5 hour trip but that didn’t stop Captain William from delivering the goods:

This is a no-joke Cubera Snapper, roped in just a few miles from shore…great quick work by the flagship!
Marlin alert on the Wanderer!

The flagship captured this behemoth on August 2 and released her after a legendary battle with Bob Owens’ group.

Great work by Captain William and Mate Johnson on this fish of a lifetime!

Excellent action this month at the Nosara River Mouth!

Local Legend Carlos Yaniz led the way with an array of monsters pulled from the surf.

Also newcomer Gerardo Leon showed his stuff…that’s one full cooler of Snook!

Bob Owens is blew into town on the 30th for a fun week of fishing and he got started right with a super Sailfish release on the Wanderer.

Nice release by Mate Johnson means we”ll be seeing this monster again down the line.
