Captain Eduardo and the legendary fish-catching Nice n’ Tight are back in the water and the fish are already running for cover. It’s a futile effort, because once again Captain Eduardo’s clients are going home with full fish boxes and big smiles.

On Tuesday November 16th newlyweds Miles and Vanessa Anderson had a fantastic day on the Nice n’ Tight with Captain Eduardo. In no time at all they yanked a nice 25lbs. Yellowfin Tuna off the inshore reefs.

Later, the line popped off as a massive Amberjack challenged Miles to a fight. With Captain Eduardo guiding the action, Miles Anderson prevailed and the happy couple celebrated their last day in Nosara with a Tuna filet lunch and an Amberjack dinner.

On behalf of the FishingNosara family, Congratulations and Good Luck to the Andersons.

Client Juan Adriatico book the Wanderer on October 31 and got things off to a quick start. First he got to work on the inshore reefs with a few 12lbs. Yellowfin and White Tunas.

Then, the line screamed off when it was hit by a 50lbs. Amberjack.

Early in the afternoon Juan got the hook into this awesome 45lbs. Dorado.

Hopefully this is a sign that with El Nino gone the fish are starting to resume their normal feeding habits.

Mr. Adriatico wasn’t done yet!

Captain William and the boys put Juan on two massive Cuberra Snappers to cap off Opening Day. Both weighed over 30lbs. with the big one nearing 50lbs. Great start to what will be a great season!

Captian William and the crew of the Wanderer are back on the water and catching some serious fish. After one year of service, this 31′ T-Craft has been freshly painted and armed with new tackle from Star Rods, Penn, Shimano and a whole array of Williamson Jet Poppers.

You will not find a better-armed boat in all of Costa Rica.

On October 30th, the Wanderer was fresh off the hill and got her first action with our family from Nosara Paradise Rentals: General Manager Javier, his brothers Grevan and Eduardo, Marlon the painter, and friends Carolina and Emily. They had a great time and caught a nice Amberjack and a few White Tuna. The staff of Nosara Paradise Rentals work year round to keep our clients smiling…it’s great to see them smiling big as well!

Captain William and the crew barely had time to say goodbye to Jody Barone because the Wanderer was booked for a Sunset cruise that evening.

Client Ronald Smith and his party enjoyed a cool sunset cruise. They caught a 20lbs. Amberjack and enjoyed pods of whales and packs of dolphins. As usual with the Sunset cruise, fishing is optional but relaxation and fun are mandatory!

Jacksonville angler Frederick Porcase signed up for three days on the Wanderer from June 11th-13th and he had his mind firmly set on catching billfish. The crew was up to the challenge and for three days they chased the biggest, fastest, toughest fish in the ocean with excellent results.

Sporting a razor-sharp meter-long spear and a top speed of 68mph, Pacific Marlins can only be safely caught with the right combination of boat, tackle, crew and angler working together seamlessly.

On the first day they live released this 300lbs. Marlin and lost a 350lbs. Blue Marlin very close from the boat. The lines were popping all day though with seven Yellowfin tunas and a 50lbs. Dorado on ice by days’ end.

On June 12th Mr. Porcase and his party had another 300lbs. Marlin on the line but he bit off the leader and got away. No worries though, because the day was saved with a pair of great Sailfish releases and six 15lbs. Yellowfin tunas in the fishbox.

Their final day on the Wanderer was highlighted by the largest Sailfish release of the month (150+lbs.) and a big 40lbs. Amberjack.

Mr. Porcase would go on to have two fantastic days on the Cabo as well and it is safe to say that his five day fishing trek was the most fruitful in recent memory. Great work by the respective crews, Captains, and anglers!

Craig Sutton was joined by clients Ray Carter and the lovely Georgia peach Paula Price for a great trip on the Wanderer on May 30th.

The weather was just about as perfect as could be imagined and the party had a fantastic array of catches. In total they caught a mean little 20lbs. Wahoo (above), a 30lbs. Amberjack, a 35lbs. Cuberra snapper and two 12lbs. Yellowfin tuna.

The highlight of the trip was a pair of 100+lbs. Sailfish releases. Paula showed her skills on the reel as both fights were under ten minutes and both fish were released.

August 7th marked the arrival of newlyweds Terry and Miriam Alexander to the shores of Nosara and the beginning of four awesome days fishing. Mr. Alexander is the head baseball coach of the Jacksonville University Dolphins, a Florida State alum, and (as it turns out) one heck of a fisherman.

On the first day they caught six 20lbs. Yellowfin tuna and a 56lbs. Amberjack. They followed up on the 8th with three 12lbs. Blackfin tunas and yet another 20lbs. Yellowfin tuna.

They went out marlin hunting on August 9th and they managed to raise a 400lbs. Black marlin, but couldn’t quite get the hooks into the great fish before he escaped.

After enjoying the sights around the Nosara Paradise Rentals campus, Terry and Miriam Alexander booked one more day on the blue water on August 11th.

What followed was a full-fledged sailfish bonanza. After a half-dozen or so promising strikes, the couple managed to catch and release three biggums: 120lbs., 125lbs., and a glorious 150lbs.
