Returning Hall of Famer Dennis Seltsam and his lovely wife Debbie had a nice bit of action on the Harvester with Captain Alex reporting several nice football-sized Yellowfin Tuna.
They also scored a late-day Sailfish to round out the trip.
Returning Hall of Famer Dennis Seltsam tried his hand on the new Discoverer for a few trips in late February. Joined by Bill and Mary Elms, this Kentucky angler scored big on a variety of species.
This big Dorado was the highlight, but they also nabbed Sailfish, Snapper, and Yellowfin Tuna
Another nice showing from Dennis Seltsam on his second day aboard the Wanderer. This time Mrs. Seltsam took the bull by the horns with the first fish in the box; This tasty Dorado is just a little bigger than the bull bested by Dennis on the 7th.
Not to be outdone, Mr. Seltsam released another 80+lbs. Sailfish to match his effort from the previous trip.
Lots of fun action for this Kentucky-based fishing couple!
Dennis Seltsam is a returning Hall of Famer who absolutely lit it up last February with a wonderful Marlin and Roosterfish release. This time he arrives to our shores with an empty bucket list and let’s see what was biting for Dennis.
Mr. Seltsam got off to a quick start with this respectable 25lbs. Dorado on ice.
After as few missed strikes, Dennis was rewarded later in the trip when a mighty Sailfish found itself on the hook.
Another safe clean release by the Wanderer and a nice start to the week for Dennis Seltsam.
Dennis Seltsam joined Captain David on the Explorer, and after a fantastic Marlin release on the Wanderer Mr. Seltsam was ready to stay inshore and hunt reef monsters. The highlight of the excursion was this gorgeous Rooster fish:
These Kentucky anglers backed up the Rooster release with an assortment of Congrios which have certainly been around in droves recently. Great all around fishing perfomance by Dennis Seltsam and the invincible Explorer!
Dennis Seltsam came to Nosara with a singular purpose: Catch the fish of a lifetime! This Kentucky angler booked the Wanderer for a full day of Marlin hunting and I’d say the time spend traveling and trolling paid off.
Take a look at this beastie:
This Blue Marlin is estimate to weigh 250lbs. which isn’t exactly a record breaker, but look at that girth! This barrel-shaped torpedo gave Mr. Seltsam a heck of a fight but once again Captain William and the Wanderer prevailed victorious.
Great safe release as always by First Mate Alex!
Dennis will be working the inshore reefs tomorrow with Captain David on the Explorer and we’ll see if the good times keep rolling.
