Brent Louviere’s group got off to a fast start on the Discoverer with several tasty meat fish caught on July 14.
They started with this big Dorado, then added multiple Yellowfin Tunas. Looks like this group will be well-fed for the week.
The inshore assassin Adventurer continued to score major fish on July 10. Get a load of this MASSIVE Amberjack:
What an amazing fish…easily 80+lbs.!
Captain David then lead a tour of the fish market, loading up on Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, and Dorado.
I don’t know if the IGFA recognizes an ‘Inshore Tasty Filets Grand Slam’, but if so this clearly qualifies.
Paul Worthington kept his hot streak going with a fantastic follow-up performance on July 10.
A nice Sailfish was backed up by a delicious-looking Dorado. Great work by the Discoverer.
Here’s what Paul wrote in an email when he got back:
“Just a note to let you know we had a great time in Nosara. As always your local staff were knowledgeable, accommodating andย professional. From Marias breakfast to the guys in the office, along with those behind the scenes it was a positive experience!”
Mark Andrews finished off his week with another great day of Yellowfin Tuna catches on July 6.
They added to the filet haul with this monster Dorado.
As a final send off they nabbed these super Sailfish releases.
Mark Andrews’ group was back on July 4 and as part of their Independence Day celebration they liberated this massive 42lbs. Dorado from the sea.
This floor sweeper was backed up with another monster Mahi Mahi
Several big Yellowfin Tunas were also added to this mix; a great follow up to their Ahi haul from earlier in the week.
Finally, Mark got hooked into a BIIIIGGG Black Marlin with a spinning reel.
Wait a minute…how is he trying to fight a Marlin with a spinning reel? What could possibly lead someone into bringing a knife to a bazooka fight?
Oh, well that explains it. Anyhow the Black Marlin only fought for a few moments before it spit the hook.
Still, a great day from the Harvester!
Here’s the message Mark sent us: “Just wanted to thank everyone involved for such a great vacation. Great place to visit, great fishing, and wonderful people in Costa. Debra and myself had a great time. Thanks so much.”

The Wanderer scored some nice Dorados with angler Nic Jouffray in late June.
After a long week of fishing, Mr. Jouffray was comfortable with the filet knife and showed Mate Johnny a thing or two about the task.
Great job to bring home the bacon!
Walt Bailey and his son scored a nice pile of filets on June 28. Check out these sweet Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna scores.
It’s always great to see young anglers get a taste of great blue water action.
Captain William closed out the month of June with a great run of catches and lots of big smiles for his clients.
This nice Yellowfin Tuna had good size to it and tastes great, while this Dorado…well, it still tastes great.
Sailfish were also on the prowl and with Captain David (of the Adventurer) filling in at the mate position, this big billfish was no match for the mighty flagship.
More great big Yellowfin Tuna catches rounded out the haul as the Wanderer finished off the month with more full fishboxes.
Florida angler Robbie Parks retrieved a pile of Dorado filets on his June 26th trip with Captain Alex.
Great size on this Mahi Mahi…they will look awesome on the dinner plate!
Excellent work by the mega panga.
The Harvester welcomed Sara and Valerie Anderson for a quick 5 hour trip on the 23rd and despite the shortened day they still nabbed a bunch of Dorados for the dinner table.
