Gary Ward joined Captain Carlos for a morning half day trip on June 29, and they brought the month to a close with this beautiful Sailfish release.

Nice fish handling by Mate Kevin means that we’ll enjoy catching and releasing this monster again soon.
Captain William closed out the month of June with a great run of catches and lots of big smiles for his clients.

This nice Yellowfin Tuna had good size to it and tastes great, while this Dorado…well, it still tastes great.

Sailfish were also on the prowl and with Captain David (of the Adventurer) filling in at the mate position, this big billfish was no match for the mighty flagship.

More great big Yellowfin Tuna catches rounded out the haul as the Wanderer finished off the month with more full fishboxes.

The Explorer welcomed Jacksonville’s Nathan Stuart for a great day of action on June 27.

Nathan is truly serious about fish. He is the proprietor of the restaurant Seafood Kitchen in Jacksonville Beach, and he won a prize that we offered at the Kingbuster fishing tournament on June 24. Within hours he had booked his trip and was in Nosara ready to catch ’em up.

After several great Sailfish releases, Captain Fico lead this group to a nice bite of Yellowfin Tunas.

Now anyone who knows about the Seafood Kitchen knows that it is a true legend of Jacksonville Beach’s eateries, however we have a legend of our own in Nosara…Chef Maria of Nosara Paradise Rentals visited Nathan’s house to share her Yellowfin Tuna receipes, and these photos look good enough to eat:

Empty plates and empty dished means big smiles all around!
Todd Worley got tied up to a big high-flying Sailfish during his June 23 campaign with the Discoverer.

Sweet hunting by Captain Carlos backed up by a great safe release by Mate Kevin.
The Discoverer was back in action in mid-June with this sweet Sailfish release backed up with a nice Yellowfin Tuna.

Great work by Jacksonville angler Meredith Arnold and her crew.

Shea Ralph is another journeyman angler who came to us from Jaco, hoping to find out what the Best Sportfishing in Costa Rica is all about.

The group hooked up multiple Sailfish, including this pair that came alongside for a photo op.

Jeff Broome posted the trip of the year so far with Captain Alex on June 11. First off was a true Double Sailfish release.

After the safe release of both fish, they added a third Sailfish for good measure.

Then the real monster came calling as the Harvester reports another MASSIVE Marlin release (the second in two days):

Amazing work by Captain Alex, Mate Wilson, and these Jacksonville anglers.
Here’s what Jeff had to say in an email:
Craig & Matt,
Pura Vida!
On June 9 the Harvester welcomed Jeff Broome of Jacksonville, FL for the first of three days of blue water action.

This nice Sailfish release broke the ice, and was followed throughout the day with bent rods and nice meat fish.

Clearly these boys will be well-fed this week!

Scott Burke is a true fishing enthusiast…we picked this guy up in Tamarindo (3 hours away) at 3am, brought him to Garza, fished a full day, and took him back at the end of the trip.

The odyssey proved worthwhile, as the group reported three great Sailfish releases.

Excellent work by these hardcore anglers.
