The Wanderer nabbed another nice Sailfish release on August 19.
All eyes (and lenses) were on Mate Elias for this textbook Sailfish release.
The Wanderer delivered the fish of a lifetime to Heidi O’Calligan on the 18th. Check out this amazing Marlin release:
Jim O’Calligan added a near-floor sweeper Dorado for the dinner table.
The group also bested this high-flying Sailfish. Another great release.
“I was most pleased to take the traditional celebratory dunk in celebration of my FIRST BLUE MARLIN!!!” Heidi wrote on Facebook. “Captain Rick Ryals did the honors! AND I caught and released ANOTHER BIG SAILFISH today too, #6!!! Needless to say I am sore from head to toe and I’m sporting some pretty impressive fisherman’s bruises. I’ll take them any day!!”
Master Captain William pulled-off a great ‘slump-buster’ trip on August 12 with Paul Brannan’s group scoring TWO Blue Marlins!
This first one spit the hook after a long fight and swam off defiant. The next Blue Marlin was reeled all the way in for a live release by Mate Elias.
Throughout the day they also nabbed Yellowfin Tunas of varying sizes…check out the photo above to see Mate Elias fileting one of the bigger Yella Fellas for and onboard sushi feast.
On August 10 Captain William led the team back into Sailfish City after a week of somewhat slow offshore action.
Shane Sheltra pulled off this awesome Double Sailfish release.
Rickie Crews and his family knocked it out of the park on the 10th, with Master Captain William reporting great Sailfish releases.
Looks like the whole group each got a crack at a big Pacific Sailfish fight.
Legendary angler Roger Walker and FishingNosara Hall of Famer Chuck Darner represnted Jacksonville with pride on August 8.
The Wanderer (also originally from Duval) nagged a pair of super Amberjacks.
Great catches all around!
Captain William continued to stalk the offshore Yellowfin Tuna school on July 30, and delivered a nice set of tasty Yella Fellas for Nicholas Fay’s group.
The Wanderer stayed hot on July 29 by putting a nice swath of Yellowfin Tuna filets on ice.
On July 26, the Wanderer and angler Mark Bennington scored a pair of Sailfish releases.
Not bad for just a 5 hour trip!
David Brinson conitnued his consistent fishing action on July 24 with Master Captain William on the Wanderer.
Looks like Yellowfin Tuna is still on the menu!
