Dana Brookshire’s family kept up their hot fishing on the 9th with the Wanderer reporting a bunch of super Yellowfin Tunas.
The Wanderer welcomed the Brookshire family on March 7. This monster Dorado was caught by angler Jatzen Blanco.
Great work by Master Captain William and the mighty flagship Wanderer.
Our good buddy Joe Goins took to the Wanderer on March 5. The highlight was this floor-sweeping Dorado:
Multiple Sailfish releases and a tasty Yellowfin Tuna filled the afternoon with rod-bending action.
Joe Goins fished on the Wanderer on March 4, and despite slow action Captain William did deliver this beefy Yellowfin Tuna.
Erin Sanders brought her family out to the Wanderer on March 3 for a fantastic day of offshore action.
They scored seven sweet Sailfish releases, plus a nice Dorado on ice.
The Wanderer is a great place to bring the kids, and on the 26th Captain William was excited to welcome Chris Graves’ family.
They stayed inshore as the kids kept the rods bent all day long. They came away with a nice haul of Yellowfin Tunas and White Tunas.
From the “Small World” department:
Dan Johnson from Hatteras was happy to welcome his new friend Antonio Carrillo to fish with him on Wednesday the 24th.
They met at the immigration line in Liberia airport last year while Dan was wearing a Fishing Nosara shirt when Antonio called him next in line
After many questions from Antonio, Dan said he fishes with Fishing Nosara and William Mendoza is my captain of many years
Antonio quickly said he is my father
It’s a small world
Dan has been trying to get Antonio to fish with him on a day off from the immigration police and it worked out great to fish with his father.
So on February 24, the Wanderer welcomed this most distinguished guest:
This may be a vacation for Officer Carillo, but the same can’t be said for the fish…the family scored over ten Red Groupers, plus a nice Yellowfin Tuna.
This trip was a ‘who’s who’ of local talent. Captain Fico of the Explorer came along, also a guest of Mr. Dan Johnson.
The fishing karma was so good that they scored a double Grouper catch even though the snap swivel was left unbuckled.
Near-shore Sailfish release were a welcome diversion.
Also Captain Fico scored an outstanding Yellowfin Tuna.
Here is Father and Son with an excellent Dorado:
“With the best Captain, my father.” Antonio posted.
Captain William continued to deliver the goods for his clients on the 23rd. First up was this excellent Sailfish release.
After the release, the Wanderer stalked a pack of feeding birds and found that the bait they were eating also was serving big Dorados and Yellowfin tunas.
Captain William always finds fish for his clients. On February 23 he took Chris Graves’ crew offshore looking for meat fish.
They followed a school of spinning porpoises, then snagged a nice pile of Dorados and Yellowfun Tunas from right under their bottlenoses.
Great work by Master Captain William and the flagship Wanderer.
Legendary FishingNosara Hall of Famer Dan Johnson is back on the blue water, and on his first trip he brought Moises (son to Capitan Fico) and his friend Anthony on the Wanderer for a fun day offshore.
Multiple Sailfish releases were augmented by a medium-size Dorado.
Great work by these young guns and Dan Johnson.
