Texas angler Darry Elliott scored a sweet Sailfish release with Captain William on January 17.

This blue water monster was no match for the mighty Wanderer:

The Wanderer entered into the teeth of a battle with this giant Dorado on January 16:

Great work by the mighty flagship!

Fantastic fun on theĀ Wanderer on January 11 with good action both inshore and offshore. First up was this meaty Jack Crevalle, perfect for ceviche:

Then Captain William pointed the flagship offshore and discovered a small school of big Doardos.

These are just the right size for dense, tasty filets. Great work by the Wanderer!

The Wanderer braved some stiff offshore winds during the first week of January, but still delivered the good for these clients with a fun Double Dorado score:

The next day began with a beautiful sunrise over Playa Garza, a good sign for a productive day.

The offshore winds meant that Captain William would stay inshore and apply a classic live bait tactic that always seems to bear fruit. First step was to collect live Bonitas from the shallow reefs.

After a brief stint in the Wanderer‘s live tuna tubes, the first 5lbs. Bonita was hooked and deployed to the reefs below.

In a flash this mighty Rooster Fish engulfed the bait, leading to this wonderful release.

Later another live Bonita was struck by this 40+lbs. Amberjack, filling the fishbox and putting some tasty ceviche on the menu.

Great work by the mighty flagship.
Captain William rang in the new year with one of our favorite groups of clients reporting big scores on the flagship.

Leah Merryfield and her posse of Texas anglers always have fun on the water; on this trip they found a swarm of big Dorados and piled the fishbox high with fresh filets.

There was lots of fun to be had, included a pulse-pounding Double Dorado score.

Great work by Captain William and the mighty Wanderer.
Jake Smestad and his family came from Minnesota and clearly the blue waters off Nosara were a little better proposition than fishing over a hole in the ice.

Check out this monster Dorado scored by Jake on the Wanderer:

This whopper is one of the biggest Dorados of the season so far, and will certainly keep the posse fed for the week:

The Wanderer welcomed Jeff Berry and his group for a day of offshore action and scored a pair of big hard-fightin’ Sailfish.

These Canadian anglers conquered these blue water monsters like old pros, and Mate Johnson performed flawlessly in the safe billfish releases.

Hendrik and Maria Engel returned to Nosara for another round of fishing action. This family has fished with us since Christmas of 2013 and always seem to find big fish.

They got things started with a late-day Sailfish release on Christmas Day with Captain William on the Wanderer.

Nice start to a great week of fishing in paradise!
The Dorado bite has been strong in late December, and client Adam Klavon found out first-hand with this monster:

Great work by Captain William and the mighty Wanderer!
Jacksonville’s own John Bottko scored some major Sailfish releases on the Wanderer and made sure that all the kids got involved in the action.

After the safe releases they also nabbed some big Dorados for the dinner table.
