Mario Hoffman’s group scored big inshore fish with the Explorer on February 11th and 13th.
Early scores of meat fish were welcome in the fishbox, and these Rooster Fish releases were also a thrill:

Captain David welcomed some new friends from the nation of France for an action-packed five day campaign on the Adventurer.
It’s definitely a good sign to see these Yellowfin Tuna this close to shore.
Stephane Venant, Tim Capsek, and Camille Chombart we prepared for inshore battle; take a look at Stephane’s traveling arsenal:
Clearly the fish weren’t prepared for these hard-fighting Frenchmen!
Big Snappers were also lurking on the reefs, and they were no match for Stephane:
The week ended on a high note with this excellent Rooster Fish release…they had been looking for an elusive pez gallo all week and finally scored on the last day of fishing:

The advantage if fishing five times a week is that Captain David can apply one day’s success to the next trip. He took Antonio Cantillo to the same spot he’s been working all week and once again scored:
The highlight was this big Amberjack, which was backed up by a big Jack Crevelle and a small White Tuna.
The next day Captain David and Paul Fontaine found this manhole-cover sized Pompano…can you say ‘ceviche’?

Captain David reported four White Tunas ranging between 8lbs. and 12lbs. each on his January 25 trip with Mr. and Mrs. George Brayfield.
This filets are very tasty and a favorite for sushi in particular.

Captain David welcomed client Jacob Quellman for a productive half day inshore which yielded this excellent White Tuna:
We almost never see this uncommon Tuna species grow so large, and the meat will produce excellent ceviche.

The Discoverer welcomed a great family from Denmark for a great day of catches on July 3, led off by this sweet Marlin release:

Family fun on the Wanderer as John Kwekkeboom brought the whole clan for a fun afternoon of inshore action.
The Penn Slammers were deployed on a wide variety of near-shore species like White Tuna and Jack Crevelle.

Rip Woodin had an excellent pair of trips to close out the month for the Discoverer.
The Sailfish are thick these days and Captain David capitalized with four Sailfish releases.
Among the bycatch was a tasty White Tuna.
Always nice to add some meat to the trophy releases.
