The Wanderer welcomed Jack Walker, Sue Garcia, Beverly Lanier, Alice Trautman, plus Ray and Terrie Overholser for a great trip to the blue water.
Captain William stalked a school of feeding Dolphins out to the feeding grounds, and the blue beauty set up shop on top of a feeding frenzy.
This Sailfish release broke the ice and was a great sign of things to come. The crew nabbed this beefy 40+lbs. Yellowfin tuna fresh after the billfish release.
The real highlight was this 60+lbs. Dorado. Everyone wanted a picture with this monster which took several hands for the lift.
Great work by this posse of Captain Sergio’s Costa Rica Adventurers!

David Cooper’sย brief trip on June 5 yielded a few medium-sized tunas:
Better than a jab in the eye, and the big smile shows that Mr. Cooper understands the game of blue water fishing.

Our new pal Tracy Anderson just finished up three back-to-back days of inshore action with a wide variety of tasty filets on ice.
The Adventurer hasn’t skipped a beat with Captain Fico at the helm, as proved by this nice Cubera Snapper.
Tracy followed up with a few smaller Snappers:
Plus a Yellowfin Tuna and a Yellowtail Snapper…that’s a grand a haul!

The Komis Psaros group signed up the flagship for three days this month, and on their first day out they scored several nice Yellowfin Tuna to fill the refrigerator.
Top water plugs and spinning rods were the weapons of choice as these fellas put four big Yellas on ice.
Nice work by Captain William and First Mate Alex to bring home the bacon for these great clients.

The Explorer hit the meat market on May 3 and put a nice Dorado in the shopping cart.
They also added come color in the form of this 15lbs. Yella Fella. Nice work to fill the fishbox by Captain Carlos on the Explorer.

Seth Moore and his boys are on board for several trips this week, and he got off to a fast start with a bunch of nice Yellowfin Tunas on ice.
They also walloped this huge Dorado…that’s a lot of filets!

After a few days of assembly and shake-down, the Discoverer is in the water and catching fish!
Captain David has accepted the promotion to the new 31′ battle wagon and has tapped Mate Kevin to stick with him on this transition. On their first trip they were joined by Mate Fico and young Garza legend Hernan for an offshore trip with Craig Sutton and Ms. Paula.
Our new vessel headed to the blue water flanked by the FishingNosara flagship Wanderer and the super panga Explorer, and this three-headed fishing monster found a big mancha of spinning porpoises.
You know what that means….Yellowfin Tuna time!
Craig nabbed the first 15lbs. Yella Fella, then young Hernan strapped up for an Ahi of his own.
Ms. Paula notched the first billfish in Discoverer history with this fine Sailfish release, assisted by Mate Kevin.
In addition to dialing in the fishing tools for the new boat, Captain David and Mate Kevin are also experimenting with new photography angles to best deliver the blue water action to your eyeballs. With a 21′ tower and all kinds of good sight-lines it will be no time at all until we can all see how fun fishing on the Discoverer can be.
All smiles all around on the unflappable Discoverer!

The Explorer delivered this fat Yellowfin Tuna for our new friends Deamian Fischer and Robin Livingston.
These good-sized Yellas are starting to show up in numbers and we are pumped up for the next few months of Ahi Action!

Peter Sohlden’s boys gained momentum with more Sailfish releases to start the day on April 27. This pair of releases got things going:
With several releases under their fighting belts this group flipped over to the spinning tackle, chased a school of spinning porpoises and casted for Yellowfin Tunas.
It’s a welcome sight to see these 20lbs. football-sized Yella Fellas back in our area. They always come in the early summer, and the big Marlin are usually close behind!
