The Discoverer engaged in a three-hour battle with a MONSTER Yellowfin Tuna on August 1.


William Myers and his family tag-teamed this monster, estimated to weight 115lbs.

Nosara is a crossroads of the world, and on August 2 we were honored to welcome German angler Stephan Badstieber and his group for a long-delayed fishing adventure in Costa Rica.



These guys had to wait out Covid in Europe for over 2 years with this trip on the books, and it’s great that they good started right with several Yellowfin Tunas.


Nicolas Gamard and Jens Schumacher caught fish on their July 31st trip with the Harvester.





Team Callihan enlisted the flagship on July 31, and they were treated to a bunch of excellent catches; this youngster’s face tells the tale:

Keith Benson finished his week of fishing action with a very memorable trip on the flagship Wanderer.

Once the lines were deployed, the mighty flagship bested several swole Yellowfin Tunas.





Greg Safar returned for an encore trip on the 28th. The Harvester reports another nice Yellowfin Tuna on ice for this angler.

OJ Bevan booked the Explorer for a fun day of action on July 28. Captain Antonio reports a great Yellowfin Tuna catch and a Sailfish release.


The Discoverer and Stephen Kramr’s group scored an awesome Yellowfin Tuna on July 28.

Our dear friend Roche from just up the road in Playa Avellanas reserved the only open date the Harvester had open in late July, and to say he picked wisely would be an understatement.


This 150+lbs. Yellowfin Tuna is the largest of the season so far, and it wasn’t alone…the behemoth was accompanied by a very respectable Yellowfin Tuna and a BIG Dorado.
