We started the season a few days early this year, as theย Wandererย welcomed the Kennedy and Becker families for a fun three days of blue water action in late-October.

A high-flying Sailfish release wasย  good omen for the mighty flagshipย Wanderer, and was backed up by an array of good-eatin’ keepers:

The on-bard sushi station was deployed, and the local restaurants made masterpieces from these filets throughout the week:

On their off-day, the group checked-out the wildlife on the Mountain Hiking tour:

 

Boat Maintenance 2024

The FishingNosara team spent the rainy season (September and October) getting the fleet re-armed and re-loaded for the new season.

We focused heavily on gelcoat repairs and repainting, specifically the blue hulls of theย Wanderer andย Discoverer.

The mega pangaย Harvester also got a new coat of interior gelcoat; looking forward to another strong season from Captain Wilson:

Of course the cockpits are the highest-traffic area of the boats and they all got a healthy dose of TLC. On theย Explorer,ย there are multiple spots where fiberglass reinforcements from previous years are showing through the gelcoat

After leveling these spots out with the grinder, Captain Antonio gelcoated the entire interior from stem to stern:

Naturally we had to upkeep our hardest-working boat: theย Transporter which ferries guests, supplies, and crew to/from the boats.

Last but certainly not least is new cushions and fresh fabric throughout the fleet. Excellent work by Marino and Sra. Hernandez.

On the land-based side of things, we have beefed up the interior and towing package for the big bad blue Land Cruiser.

We are attempting to mold our own Transporter-sized panga boat. Stay tuned for more updates.

Linda McAnally’s group returned on the 21st for more catching, this time focusing on inshore species.

This super-tasty Congrio was backed-up with multiple Red Groupers:

 

This lonely Yellowfin Tuna rounded out the haul:
