“Great time had by all, here are some pictures from our 7/2 trip on Wanderer.” writes Jeff Beall.

Later on they encountered a school of big Yellowfin Tunas.

Each of the boys tackled a Yella Fella of their own on this trip.

First Mate Alex is always trying new things, and for these big Tunas he likes to vent them of their blood immediately after the catch using a strong rope and a small incision above the tail.

This keeps the boat clean, preserves ice, and most importantly produces a blast of oxygen-rich blood into the spread which attracts more bites.

Great work by this hard-fishing family!

Todd Marr and his family took advantage of a last-minute opening on the Wanderer, scoring big Yellowfin tunas backed up by some sweet Sailfish:

The big Yellowfins are back for the summer and our crews are primed to hop all over them.

Todd hooked up a big high-flying Sailfish later in the trip and this pelagic put on a show for the Marr family:

Excellent fish handling saw to yet another safe billfish release for the mighty Wanderer.

This month we suffered a loss in the Nosara Paradise Rentals family.

Danilo Montero Murillo was tragically lost in a traffic accident on June 30 2015. He was 45 years old, was a council member for the district of Nosara and owner of Mini Super Vida in the Los Arenales neighborhood.

He was also a masterful builder and was the project lead for the construction of Casa Bonita and the attached Mini Store in Playa Guiones:

In November 2009 he released this excellent Black Marlin on the Wanderer, the second ever Marlin release for the then-new flagship.

Our prayers are with Danilo’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Pura vida Danilo!

Mackenzie Bateman, Chris Skinner, and Lucy Sullivan took to the super panga on June 27 and brought the house down with this beautiful Double Sailfish release:

They scored many more Sailfish throughout the trip.

Roy Starling and his son returned to the Adventurer on the 26th and scored more tasty morsels for the fishbox.

This Yellowtail Snapper is a real whopper, plus the Snappers are nothing to sneeze at either!

Jason Sandmaier and his son performed beautifully on the Adventurer on the 21st, so much so that two days later they brought the ladies along for a day with Captain Carlos on the Explorer.

The super panga delivered the goods with five Sailfish released throughout the trip.

Excellent fish-handling by Mate Kevin to see all these fish safely released.

On Father’s Day, The Adventurer celebrated by scoring a full buffet of filets for Jason Sandmaier and his son.

Captain Fico is an expert at nailing multiple species on a single day. Great work by the 23-foot pocket knife.

The mighty Wanderer delivered the goods for Gary Pickel and his family with a MASSIVE Black Marlin release:

This beast hit the hook just after 9am and put up a 30 minute fight leading to a safe release.

After the safe release by First Mate Alex, they scored a nice pair of Sailfish:
