The Explorer pulled off a sensational Double Sailfish release with client Bill Kelly on a morning half day. Check out these amazing shots captured by Captain David:

More nice inshore catches came on March 15 for Captain Carlos. These Dorados will make for some excellent filets:

Andrew Tom had a great day on the Explorer punctuated by this glorious Sailfish release:
Great fish handling by Mate Kevin as usual, but how about Captain David balancing on the Super Panga’s motor to get these shots…a great fisherman and an acrobat!

Tom and Tammy Clymer had a boatload of fun fishing inshore with Captain William on the Wanderer. Our tactic is to stir up a feeding frenzy on one of our inshore reefs, hoping to coax one of the big bottom dwellers out from his hiding spot in the ocean floor.
The trick to this kind of fishing is perseverance and patience; the fish of a lifetime won’t be the first one on the hook, but if you invest the time over a good spot then the monster will come calling. Tammy got the action fired up with this nice Jack Crevelle.
Then young Misses Clymer added another Jack Crevelle:
This activity combined with a few Bonitas getting recycled into the water by First Mate Alex’ knife, this area was bound to yield something big.
Something hit Tom Clymer’s line like a wrecking ball and bent the rod over like a bullwhip.
What was this tiny water disturbance hiding?
BOOM!
Great work by the Clymer family in executing this bottom fishing attack strategy with the unstoppable Captain William.

Nice fish shopping on the Adventurer for John Green and his boy. These aren’t scale-tippers, but trust me that these White Tunas and Dorados look excellent on the dinner plate.
Nice work on the inshore half day by the unbeatable Captain Carlos and the Adventurer.

Mr. and Mrs. John Rozas returned to the Explorer looking for a repeat of their success from last year. In March 2013 John nabbed a big Broomtail Grouper and together the released a nice Sailfish:
Notice how they seem a little apprehensive about handling this bucking billfish? They barely want to lay a finger on the mighty beast.
That was then, this is now:
Looks like John and Liz are trying out for a Mate position on the FishingNosara team!
Great work by this super couple!

David Rybas and his boys had a great morning half day trip on the Wanderer punctuated by some excellent Sailfish action.
The whole family was locked on this flying Sailfish, but young Mr. Rybas had the moves to bring this big Sailfish alongside.
Great release as always and another picture-perfect day on the Wanderer.

Captain David has blown down the walls of Sailfish City this season and the Super panga’s catch numbers are keeping pace with the bigger boats. His trip on March 13 with client Robert Wood featured five big Sailfish releases and a 50+lbs. Dorado on ice.
Mate Kevin is turning into a fish-handling machine; he brought these billfish in and out of the boat with the smooth skill of a Mate with twice his years.
Most amazing of all is that all this action came on just a 5 hour trip…who knows what could’ve gone down with a full eight hours?
Great work by Garza’s fastest rising stars: Captain David and Mate Kevin!

Matt Rich and his party joined the Super Panga for a half-day trip to the blue water, and immediately got the decks bloody with respectable 25lbs. Dorado.
With the appetizer on ice, the main course was served in the form of three big Sailfish releases.
Great work by Mate Kevin to wrangle these monsters for clean, safe releases.
Captain David is on top of his game and we can’t wait to see what surprises the Explorer has in store.

John and Liz Rozas have returned to Nosara and they are primed up for some big time action with their main man Captain David. These hard-fishing folk hail from New Jersey and they got the action going quick with some sweet Sailfish releases:
Captain David kept them in the thick of the action all day and Mate Kevin hooked these bad boys with great precision.
Check out the sweet fish handling by the Rozas on these Sailfish.
