Clifford Jordan had a stellar day on board the Explorer with a scorecard that can be defined as the perfect day of charter fishing.

They started off inshore and immediately put these two whopping Dorados in the fishbox.

Then Captain David pointed the barroom brawler off-shore early in the trip and they spend the morning getting hammered by Sailfish.

Great releases by Captain Carlos (of the Adventurer) to ensure the safe survival of all of these catches.

In the afternoon they returned inshore in search of more filets, and were rewarded with this giant Cubera Snapper.

For a victory lap they added this Yellowfin tuna…three kinds of filets plus several trophy releases? That’s what I call a perfect day!

The Gene Pleasants group come from the hard-fishin’ town of Raliegh, NC and these boys are no stranger to big fish in the blue water.

On their first of three scheduled trips with the Wanderer they has good action on the troll with several Dorados on ice.

It’s always nice to fill up the refrigerator at the beginning of the week; nobody’s going hungry in this group.

They missed on a couple of Sailfish strikes, but these North Carolina anglers will have plenty for chances to dance with some billfish this week.

Sarah Heekin is the latest in our long lineage of North Carolina anglers to come our way via the NC CCA, and like the rest of the recent anglers from the Tar Heel state her group absolutely tore them out of the frame.

Big Sailfish dominated the morningn, and after Mate Fico safely released the beasts Captain David set the spread to attract tasty Dorados.

This is the first of three trips for this group and we expect even more big catches and big smiles from the Sarah Heekin group.

Clifford Jordan came our way by bidding on a prize package offered through the North Carolina CCA.

Like many of our past anglers from the Tar Heel State, this group put on a fishing clinic with Captain David and Mate Fico on the Explorer.

Sailfish attacked early and often, but they were no match for the Super Panga.

All the fish were safely released by our newest mate, who has a lifetime of experience in Garza but it still getting acclimated to the FishingNosara way of fishing.

Still, you can see his calm demeanor is the way he handed this feisty Sailfish:

After four excellent releases, the party focused on the refrigerator by pulling in two tasty Dorados.

Great work by Captain David and Mate Fico…we expect big things from this Mate in the future but his cool presence in the cockpit is already a welcome addition to the team.

Our old buddy Francois Bernier returned to the Wandererย on January 25 hoping to improve on his December 2012 performance.

Back then he caught some big bottom fish and a few nice Dorados, but this trip saw Mr. Bernier best a beastly Sailfish.

After a safe release by First Mate Alex, Paige followed up with a big Dorado…seems like old times!

Great work by these fine folks and the ferocious flagship!

The North Carolina dominance continued on the Explorer as Eddie Barnett and his buddy slayed some good-eatin’ fish on the Explorer with Captain David.

This Dorado is a fine specimen estimated to weigh around 30lbs., but the real treat was this 40+lbs. Wahoo.

The silver bullet is arguable the most difficult meat fish to catch as pound-for-pound they fight as strong as a Black Marlin.

Great work by the legendary Explorer.

David Grandell and his boy were throwing haymakers at all comers with Captain Carlos on the Adventurer! They started out with a big Dorado:

Then set to work on a team of football-sized Yellowfinย  Tuna.

For the knockout punch they landed this whopping Cubera Snapper.

Great work by the 23-foot switchblade the Adventurer!
