As the tourism season enters a two month lull, the Fuppernos (Friends of the River) have been working their tails off at the River Mouth. Check out this fantastic Snook scored by Javier aka Rey Robalo on October 2:

This is the highlight of what has been a great few weeks of river fishing:

Our main man Alejandro nabbed an excellent Snook (above), while our old friend Manuel put some food on the table with a variety of catches:

Local legends also weighed in some whoppers:

Most recently Javier reeled in a wonderful Snook at sunset:

Also the staff of Nosara Paradise Rentals took a break from their off-season maintenance tasks to enjoy a Kayak adventure up river:

There has been great action at the Rio Nosara this month with lots of excellent Snook catches reported.

Our old buddy Manuel Campos scored this awesome monster:

Also local legend Santos “Fly” Ruiz knocked out a few nice Robalos:

Another old friend Cumi caught the biggest Snook of the month. Look at the girth on this one:

Anglers of all ages bent a rod this month:

Of course a resource as beautiful as the Rio Nosara needs protection, and fortunately the Fuppernos are on guard with bi-monthly river clean-ups.

As the rainy season approaches in the highlands, more trash gets washed downhill ending up in the river.

This steps taken by the Friends of the River ensure that the blue flag will continue to fly over the Rio Nosara.

Another fantastic month of action on the Rio Nosara.

Our our buddy Cumi scored this excellent Robalo to kick of the month.

Of course the Hernadez boys scored a bunch of excellent fish on a nightime expedition.

Javier, Grevan, and young Dario certainly brought home the bacon on this night.

Also this monster Snapper was hauled in by local man Clemente:

But by far the most impressive catch of the month was this grande Robalo scored by local man Cuinco:

Time again for the monthly Nosara Paradise Rentals / FishingNosara company fishing outing. Javier was joined by his wife Ana and son Dario, brother Grevan, Cathy, Arturo, and Freddy for a relaxing afternoon on the Wanderer with Captain William and First Mate Alex.

We’ll let you know if they caught anything shortly. Regardless, it is always great when the crew gets a chance to relax and enjoy a day on the ocean.

So we realize that it is Easter Sunday and that our whole posse is made up of strong Catholics who place family first, and therefore Craig decided to give everyone the day off.

What do they do with their day off? Go fishing of course!

Man, I love our crew! This great day of fun on the Wanderer featured el jefe Javier Hernandez, chief mechanic Marino, our newest member of the office team Alejandro, and their wives and kids.

They brought in a few fish while they were at it, celebrated not just the highest of holy days but also put to bed the first half of the high season.

Nosara Paradise Rentals and FishingNosara have been moving at a breakneck pace since November and it is essential that our group gets some time to celebrate and reflect on jobs well done.

Senior Javier has been working over the river mouth this week and had some great catches to show for his effort. Most recently was this large Corvina that weighs every bit of 15 lbs. Ceviche, anyone?

Earlier in the week Javier knocked out an excellent Snook, approximately 29 inches and 12 lbs. Pictured here with son Dario, this Snook is typical of the beauties that make their home at the mouth of the Nosara River.

Pretty clear family resemblance, even down to the gold chain. Great work by the master of the river, Senior Javier Hernandez!

Nosara Paradise Rentals General Manager Javier Hernandez is the premier authority on outdoor adventures in Nosara. He has led many of our new Kayak Safari Tours and has developed a sixth sense for the super snook of the Nosara River Mouth.

Javier is a master of fishing the Nosara River mouth for tasty and challenging Snook. He is our go-to guy for Fishing Safari Tours and pictures of his catches are all over thisreport …basically if the picture has a Snook in it, Javier is either holding it or is the one who took the picture.

It is with great joy that we announce the birth of Javier Hernandez’ first child: a beautiful, healthy baby boy. The birth occurred on March 7 in the afternoon, and mother and child are both resting comfortably.

Javier Hernandez has been with Nosara Paradise Rentals since the very beginning. Starting as a gardener and handyman, Sr. Hernandez immediately showed great leadership skills and potential far beyond his position.

Since ascending to the position of General Manager, Javier has put his stamp of excellence on every aspect of the operation involving Nosara Paradise Rentals, FishingNosara, and Nosara Transport.
