This little Dorado will make for a good sandwich or two, but these Yellowfins will keep the group fed all week long:
The Discoverer kept rolling on May 26 and on the 5 hour journey they nabbed a nice Sailfish release backed up by a nice Dorado.
Excellent hunting by Captain Carlos.
Stephen Green and the Wanderer tracked the porpoise pods in late-May and snatched a bevy of tasty Dorados from right under the snouts of the dolphins.
Great work by the ultimate hunter, the mighty Wanderer!
On May 22, Karen and Chris Lawrence pulled off one of the great feats in blue water fishing: the DOUBLE SAILFISH Release.
This challenge involves keeping both fish separated during the fight so they don’t cut off the lines, and masterfully boat- and fish-handling.
Great work by the dynamic duo of Captain Carlos and his little brother Mate Kevin!
Later in the day filled up the fishbox with these tasty Dorados.
Awesome job from two of our favorite Texas anglers.
On May 21 Mark Rogers scored on the battleship with a nice Sailfish release backed up by a big Dorado.
See if you can tell which half of the fish was on ice and which half wouldn’t fit in the cooler:
Nice trophy release AND filets for the dinner table? All in a day’s work for the Discoverer!
The Wanderer split their last day with Jake Jump’s group between inshore and offshore action. Early in the day they braved intermittent rains to snag two excellent Rooster Fish releases.
Afterwords they went offshore and found a pair of sweet meat fish; these Dorados and Yellowfin Tunas aren’t exactly scale-tippers, but they all look good on the dinner plate.
Great work by the flagship Wanderer!
Karen Lawrence and her group of fun-loving Texas anglers got their week in Nosara off to a fast start with this excellent Sailfish release on the 20th.
They also filled-up the refrigerator with Dorado filets, thanks to this nice catch:
This is a great time of year because you can catch Yellowfin Tuna one day and Dorado the next day, all using the same tactics and same spread.
These big Dorados are a welcome addition to the dinner table.
Of course any trip on the Harvester isn’t complete without a sweet Sailfish release.
Excellent work by Captain Alex!
Paul Arthur and his fishing buddy Ricky Kay upped the ante on their second day of fishing, with TWO Marlin releases backed up by one of the biggest Dorados we’ve ever seen.
Want to get a sweet fishing jersey like this one? We don’t make them so you can’t, unless you are like Paul Arthur’s group and get your own made in advance of your trip.
Three Marlin releases in less than two days is a remarkable feat, but when you add in this MONSTER Dorado you get the definition of a perfect fishing day:
Amazing action from the mega panga Harvester!
2018 All Star Calgary Flames goalkeeper Mike Smith traded his blocker pads for fishing reels on April 30 and brought his family to Nosara for some excellent blue water action on April 30.

The whole family got in on the action with many excellent catches.
After several big Dorado scores, Mike deployed the flyrod to nabbed another tasty Mahi.
Great work by this fun group of Canadian anglers
