Our old pal Joe Driscoll is back for another fishing adventure; his group of friends mugged the fish last January, and now he has returned with his sons for more blue water action.

The highlight was this beefy Striped Marlin release, quite an accomplishment for a young angler.

Team Driscoll also filled the Harvester‘s fishboxes with a swarm or lovely Dorados.

All smiles for this great family of Jacksonville, FL anglers!

Doc Hatton, Dennis Shanahan, Fred Lewis and Rick Downing had a great day with huge results on the mega panga Harvester. The day started with a true fish-of-a-lifetime…take a gander at this awesome Blue Marlin:

Great fish handling by Mate Kevin to ensure the safety of both fish and anglers. After the safe release, Captain Alex criss-crossed the area hoping to find more fired-up billfish.

After an hour of trolling a second bad Blue Marlin took the hook.

Another great release by the Mega Panga!

Captain Alex kept his foot on the gas as Team Hatton knocked-out a pair of high-flying Sailfish releases to end the day.

This one broke off the leader right next to the boat, but what an amazing display of above-the-water combat.

This release brought to a close a crazy day of action the the mighty Harvester.

Our old pal Doc Hatton brought his crew down for a Merry “Fish”mas party and found excellent blue water action in their stockings. Dennis Shanahan, Fred Lewis and Rick Downing joined in on the celebration.

Their highlight from their trip on the Wanderer was this superb Black Marlin release

Then the Master Captain William tracked down a pack of feeding porpoises and swung the flagship alongside to share in the feeding frenzy:

Check out this Yellowfin Tuna on the surface…looks like the birds and dolphins will get him before we do:

Fortunately a fat Dorado escaped the feeding frenzy by chomping down on a rigged ballyhoo, and the Wanderer fought hard to bring it home.

December 11, 2016 – Dreamstarter Tournament Recap

FishingNosara participated in the 5th Annual Dreamstarter Billfish Invitational from December 7-10. This tournament is run by Mr. Brian Neal and our friends at Wanderlust Reality, and was a wonderful experience for all involved.

This is our first time entering this tournament, and it is with great pride that we announce that we brought home the hardware!

From the tournament website: “Dreamstarter Billfish Invitational Tournament would like to congratulate the Wanderer and Discoverer for finishing tied for 1st place in our tournament. Both boats fish under the flagship of FishingNosara and both teams agreed to stick with a tie. Congratulations to both teams!”

FishingNosara Hall of Famer Bob Pease joined Captain William on the Wanderer and scored two Sailfish and a Marlin over the two days of tournament fishing:

Meanwhile, the Discoverer welcomed Hall of Famer Eric Dixon and they also nabbed a Marlin backed-up with two Sailfish:

Kirk Langenbach scored the first Marlin of the season for the FishingNosara team with the Master Captain William on theย Wanderer.

This Blue Marlin was estimated to weigh 200lbs. by Mate Johnson upon the safe release.

Awesome job by Kirk and the whole Moody group on their fishing battles, and of course by the big blue beauty Wanderer.

Our new friend Arch Solomon became the star of the off-season with a magnificent triple Marlin day on the Harvester!

Check out this great email we received from the Solomon’s

Craig was back on the Harvester for a mega Marlin day on August 13 with fellow angler Lloyd Michael.

The first Blue Marlin snagged two baits and was simultaneously hooked by Craig and Lloyd!

After a safe release by Mate Kevin a second Marlin entered the spread and fought bravely, spitting the hook after putting on a fireworks show next to the boat.

Awesome hunting by Captain Alex and the Harvester!

August 6, 2016

Fred Schroder scored the fish of a lifetime with Captain Alex on August 6. Take a gander at this MASSIVE Black Marlin:

The Harvester backed this monster down aggressively to keep the fight short and sweet; a benefit to both fish and angler.

Later in the day they also released a big Sailfish:

Amazing work by Captain Alex and Mate Kevin on the Harvester.

The Discoverer welcomed back returning client Paul Worthington for a nice day of Yellowfin Tuna conquering. Check out this beastie:

Later in the trip Donna Bowler caught 40lb Dorado pictured with her husband Steve.

Then Paul finished off the trip with a 250lb Blue Marlin.

Fantastic job by Captain Carlos on the big battleship!
