Gary Killam knocked it out of the park on the Wanderer with a fantastic Blue Marlin release:
Earlier in the day they filled up the fishbox with Dorado and Yellowfin Tunas on the deck.
Great work by these Tampa based anglers!
The Harvester capped off her season with a very productive day with angler Antonio Martinez and his family.
The mega panga’s reputation continues to grow and Captain Alex and Mate Kevin put on a billfishing clinic for these great anglers.
Later in the day Michael Madnick scored this awesome Marlin release.
Captain Carlos finished off his season with a banner day with John Ritchie.
How does TWO Marlin releases sound for a send-off?
Nice work by Captain Alex (of the Harvester) filling in at the Mate position to capture and release these monsters.
They also scored a pair of big Dorados for the end-of-season feast.
The Wanderer finished the season with a magnificent trip with Christine Clarke and her family on August 22.
The father/son and mother/daughter combos went head-to-head with two nice Dorados.
A third nice fish rounded out the filet haul.
Family fun aside, Captain William and the mighty Wanderer earned the title of the FishingNosara flagship by scoring big Marlin releases.
This beastie put on a show for the Clarke family, and Mate Johnson was ready to bill and release the final Marlin of the season.
After a year that saw 234 trips, the big blue beauty is back on the trailer and ready for a month-long repaint and refit.
Captain William will be back on the scene in mid-September to continue his reign as the best Captain in all of Central America.
Captain William delivered the fish of a lifetime for angler Duane Denton with this awesome Black Marlin release on August 17.
This monster was a handful to fight and to bill; it was bucking Mate Johnson so hard that we struggled to get a good full picture.
Still the memory of this fighter will not soon be forgotten!
Trent Mabe and his family posted a banner day on August 2 with Captain William.
The day started quickly with several wonderful meat fish including these sweet Yellowfin Tunas.
Then they boated an awesome Dorado; this is one of the biggest of the season!
With the boat riding low in the water from all the filets, there’s no way Captain William would take it further offshore to hunt Marlin, right?
Wrong!
This big bad Black Marlin threw down the gauntlet late in the day and the Wanderer was up to the challenge

Peter Petrassi had a big day on August 1 with Captain Fico on the Explorer, highlighted by this 350lbs. Marlin release:
They also scored a big Yellowfin Tuna backed up by a nice Dorado…plenty of filets for dinner this week!
The Harvester hooked up a nice Marlin in late-July, but lost it alongside the boat after a 15 minute fight.
Undeterred, they scored a sweet Sailfish release a few hours later in the afternoon.
