Our new friend Will Stein and his family performed brilliantly on the mega panga Harvester, highlighted by this awesome Black Marlin release:









Captain Alex stayed on the hunt, and led the Stein party to more Billfish success.






Our long time friends Ken and Brenda Russell and Larry Komenda and Misti Nolan were back on the water for another great day of action on the Wanderer.






Several big Dorados got the action started early, and in the afternoon a fierce Blue Marlin hit the hooks.



Great work by Captain William to keep the fight short and excellent fish handling by Mate Johnson.


Michael Graham joined up with the Discoverer on March 24 and started the day off right with this Striped Marlin release:

Throughout the rest of the day they bushwhacked ten small Dorado, yielding this sweet sack of filets:

Great day from Captain Carlos on the big battleship!
FishingNosara Hall of Famer Derrell McCrary returned to the Wanderer for a full day of legendary blue water action.


His posse of Tampa-based anglers has been fishing on the big blue beauty since 2011, but nothing could prepare them for this Marlin assault.




This feisty Striped Marlin came calling early in the trip, and was well-handled by Mate Johnson.


Less than an hour later the real monster came calling…this MASSIVE Black Marlin is one for the ages!



She put on a show but Captain William stayed one step ahead of this Marlin to keep the fight as short as possible.



The final piece of the Grand Slam puzzle fell into place at the end of the trip. This Sailfish release puts the finishing touch on the most difficult feat in fishing: Billfish Grand Slam!



The Discoverer and Dan Wood group posted an amazing day of billfish action on March 22. They nabbed a 200lbs. Blue Marlin early in the trip:

LaterĀ the Sailfish bite heated up with this challenging Double Sailfish release followed up with a third Sailfish right at the end of the half-day trip.


Pretty sweet for just a half day trip!
Dan Wood and his group found world-class success with Captain William on the Wanderer.


The highlight was this excellent Black Marlin release…they don’t get much better than this!



The action continued with an sweet Sailfish release later in the day.



Great work by the mighty flagship!
Lauren Merriam andĀ Larry Schenavar knocked it out of the park on March 16 with a beautiful Striped Marlin release on the Discoverer.


Backed up by a nice Sailfish, these Crystal River anglers clearly put up a great day of billfish releases.

Texas angler Trey Hardy scored a true fish-of-a-lifetime with Captain William on the Wanderer during a full day trip on February 28.


Upon release this monster was estimate to weigh 250lbs.



Fantastic work from the mighty flagship!
The legendary Dan Johnson rejoined the Wanderer for a billfish hunt on February 27, and along with his daughter Delaney Johnson scored a big Blue Marlin backed up by a nice Sailfish.






This monster weighs well over 300lbs. and is certainly a breathtaking achievement.


Delaney’s Sailfish was no slouch either, putting up a big fight on the way to a safe release.


Joe Goins’ group nabbed a world-class Marlin with Captain William on February 24.




This monster put on an above-the-water acrobatic display as the mighty flagship fought her all the way to a safe release.



They also added a Sailfish to round out the scorecard:
