Returning FishingNosara Hall of Famer Leah Merryfield has returned with her posse of hard-fishin’ Texans for another three day campaign on the mighty Wanderer.
The Sailfish releases came fast and furious with many multiple hookups:
At the end of the day Captain William scored the finishing touch with a triple-hookup. All three fish were safely released.
Great work by Mate Johnson and First Mate Alex on this mammoth day of Sailfish releases:
The Sailfish-on-a-half day streak continued on December 22 as client Katie Sullivan and her group nabbed another sweet Sailfish release.
Consistency is the mark of a master, and they don’t get better than Captain William.
Michael Koerner and his family scored a swarm of Sailfish releases with Captain Carlos on December 22.
The whole family got in on the action, with safe releases performed by Mate Juan Carlos after the photos.
Great work by the Discoverer!
The half-day success stories continued with Brett Portham scoring a beautiful Pacific Sailfish on a quick 5hr. jaunt to the blue water.
Captain William has these Sailfish zeroed in and there is no escaping his masterful hunting skills!
John McLaughlin booked the Wanderer for a 5-hour Half day trip and despite the short day still managed to score a nice Pacific Sailfish.
It sure is nice to have the blue water just a few miles from shore…less time driving = more time fishing!
Our old buddy Mike Burling has returned to Nosara from the hard-fishing town of Fernandina Beach, FL and once again scored wonderfully on our stretch of blue water.
The legendary Explorer was the scene of the battle, the highlight of which was this bonkers-big Yellowfin Tuna!
More big Yella Fellas were in the area, and met the same fate as their big brother:
They also nabbed few Sailfish releases:
They did have a big Marlin on the line, but the powerful beast spit the hook after a short sparring match with Mr. Burling.
That’s OK…we’ll get him next time!
Robert Dinan waylaid some more great fish on December 14, this time with Captain Carlos over on the Explorer.
Nice fish-handling by Mate Kevin led to safe releases of these Sailfish.
Hall of Famer Harris ‘El Matador’ Savinย scored a bunch of nice billfish releases on the Discoverer
Safe releases by Mate Juan Carlos.
Team Arrich finished off their three days of fishing with more great action.
