Another awesome Marlin release on the 27-foot Explorer with Captain Antonio and angler Wayne Hopkins.

Master Captain William took the Wanderer out on October 4 and lit up the scoreboard with an awesome Blue Marlin release.

After the safe release, Paul Norris’ group also brought home the bacon with some excellent Yellowfin Tunas.

Here is what Paul had to say after the trip: “Great day fishing! 1st Marlin, 1st Sailfish, then we caught 4 yellowfin tuna and 4 Dorado (mahi mahi).

“I can’t thank Daradee Olson enough for being a trooper and falling in love with my passion for fishing. She killed it!”
The Explorer got out on the blue water for a trip on October 4 with angler Matthew Lowe scoring big on Yellowfin Tunas and Dorado.

Dan Johnson from Hatteras, NC finished up his 23rd full day of fishing with FishingNosara since the end of the pandemic (Oct. 1, 2021).

He was joined by friends Captain David Barrantes (of the Adventurer), Toni Bustos, Danny Jiron, and Bryan Gomez.

They had a great catch of Red Groupers and Congrio.

Also, they had a Blue Marlin crash the left teaser three times but it wouldn’t take the pitch bait. About 15 minutes later a Blue Marlin attacked the right long teaser and after a few jumps rushed the boat and bit the hook in half.

Dan Johnson from Hatteras NC took friends Antonio Carrillo Carrillo, David Barrantes, and Diddier Gutierrez for a full day fishing on the
Wanderer.
They caught 21 Red Groupers, two Congrios, one Dorado, and 20 Pochotes.
The whole crew and other guests enjoyed the catch prepared at Marlin Bill‘s Restaurant

Dan Johnson from Hatteras, NC took friend Manuel Obando and Antonio Carrillo Carrillo for a full day on the Wanderer, they caught bottom fish an 9 Yellowfin Tunas and enjoyed eating some of the catch at Marlin Bills Restaurant.

You gotta love a guy like Tim Homa; he made the booking for his fishing trip in February 2020, just a month before Covid hit.

He waited for 31 months, never complaining or asking for his deposit back. Even though it’s the rainy season, the clouds held off long enough to get this trip in and the Discoverer was able to make that patience pay off.

Great story of perseverance and patience for these anglers.

The Alson crew finished up their week of fishing in Costa Rica with a very productive inshore romp. This BIG Congrio is the best tasting fish on the reef and will make their end-of-trip dinner a real treat.

The also added a final Rooster Fish release to their impressive haul of catch-and-release trophies.

Great work by the Discoverer!
The Alson group scored multiple nice trophy releases (Sailfish and several Rooster Fish) this week, but on the 12th they final brought home some edible filets.

This quintet of Yellowfin Tunas will be a tasty treat after a week of fishing.
The Alfred Alson group continued to post excellent results on their early-rainy season trip. Check our this beautiful Rooster Fish release on the Discoverer from September 10.
