John Hislop’s family got off to a quick start on the 26th with Master Captain William reporting great Dorado action with a nice Yellowfin Tuna sprinkled in.





It’s always a treat to see young anglers scored nice fish.


Over on the Harvester, John Hislop’s family scored some wonderful Yellowfin Tunas.




The Explorer nagged the big fish of the day on the 26th with this amazing Dorado.


They added a few more for good measure. Excellent action from Captain Fico.



We love to help youngster get acclimated to the craft of bluewater sportfishing, and on the 22nd Master Captain William kept the lines bent for this family.





After warming up on small fish, they moved a little further offshore and nagged some big Yellowfin Tunas and a nice Dorado.




The big battleship Discoverer delivered the best trip of the year so far for anglers from Cary Clark’s group. On December 22 they released THREE Blue Marlins!



One of these monsters it a fish-of-a-lifetime, so a three release day is off-the-charts. Excellent work by Mate Kevin to safely release the whole trio.


This makes five Marlin releases in three days for Cary Clark.
They also nagged this dinner-table sized Dorado for what I can imagine is a mighty end-of-week feast:

Captain David continued his white-hot fishing performance on December 21 with angler Jonathan Hollis scoring multiple gigantic Dorados.




Great work by the sneaky switchblade Adventurer.
Anglers Jon Hollis and Laura Lalemand hooked up a wild Blue Marlin battle on the 23-foot switchblade on December 21.
Despite her disbelief, Captain David was able to safely release this fish.
Jon Sauers scored an excellent Dorado with Captain David on December 20. Get a load of this monster:

Proof again that you don’t need a big boat to catch big fish in Costa Rica.

After the safe release, they added variety to their haul with some rare-f0r-December Yellowfin Tunas.


Normally this fish is abundant in the Summer, but the ocean is always full of surprise.
