Steve Putbrese followed up his big day on the Wanderer with a nice day of Sailfish releases.
Great action for this group on both of the big T-Crafts.
A Double Sailfish release was reported by Donna Finley’s group on their March 19th trip on the Discoverer.
Fantastic work by Captain Carlos!
Multi-time FishingNosara Hall of Famers Ken and Brenda Russell are back! Joined by their usual motley crew of Texas anglers including Larry Komenda and Misti Nolan, this good-vibes group threw down the gauntlet on their first day of fishing on the Wanderer.
After some early Sailfish action, Brenda shot to the top of the scoreboard with this MASSIVE Blue Marlin release:
Hold on to your hats folks…Team Russell will be here for two weeks and you know that they are ready for battle!
Captain Alex kept the Harvester inshore on the 19th. Chris and Charlotte Keane followed up their brilliant offshore success with some very unique catches.
This Congrio is always a fun catch; this fish/eel hybrid yields a white lobster-like meat that is second to none. Also it provides a unique fight as it is one of the few sea creatures that can swim backwards.
The rest of the day was dominated by Red Groupers, excellent for sandwiches and a bunch of fun to catch.
The Wanderer and angler Steve Putbrese put on a show on March 18 with multiple excellent Sailfish releases backed-up with some tasty Dorado for the dinner table.
The Dorados came in bunches with some double hook-ups.
Herb and Sally Pittman joined up with Captain Fico for an afternoon of inshore action on March 18.
The early bite consisted of Dorado and Jack Crevelle, and then Sally finished it off with a nice Cubera Snapper.
It’s easy to work up a hunger while catching big fish, but don’t spoil your Snapper dinner!
John Muesse was staying a few hours north of us in Tamarindo, but he was wise enough to make a day trip to where the fishing is best…straight to Nosara!
The Harvester reports several sweet Sailfish release for this fun-loving group.
Great work by the mega panga and Captain Alex!
Donna Finley’s group got their week of fishing of to a nice start with a super Sailfish release on the Wanderer during their March 17th trip.
Captain David and the indomitable Adventurer continue to fish hard during the month of March. On the 17th he kept the rods bent with these nice Jack Crevelles.
Ceviche, anyone?
Chris and Charlotte Keane joined the Harvester on March 17 and just five hours of fishing loaded up on a lifetime’s worth of great catches.
These high-flying Sailfish came in hot and heavy, but the mega panga was up for the challenge.
All of these Sailfish were safely released as usual.
They didn’t go home empty-handed, thanks to this excellent Dorado on deck.
