The Discoverer brought home the bacon with angler Jim Callihan on May 28. Check out this swole Yellowfin Tuna.
Excellent work by the big battleship!
The Wanderer welcomed Steve Hoogendoorn and his boys for a morning 5 hour trip, and they persevered despite some scattered rain storms.
Great work by these young anglers.
Christopher Henry and his posse filled up the fishbox with big scores of Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna.
The Yellowfin Tunas have become bigger and more prevalent as we move into the summer months.
Cole MacPhee got into a fish-of-a-lifetime with Captain Alex and the Harvester. Get a load of this amazing Blue Marlin release from May 26:
Captain Fico and the Explorer welcomed Jacksonville angler Steve Grant and his son for a sweet day of action on May 26.
Way back in 2009, Steve was instrumental in outfitting FishingNosara’s first boats with world class tackle. It’s great to see our old friend putting in big work on the Nosara blue water.
This Cubera Snapper was a very memorable catch for Mr. Grant, and was supplemented with this nice Dorado.
This excellent Rooster fish was also released by the unstoppable Explorer.
On May 21 we had a weird swell direction in Garza Bay, so we prudently moved the fleet over to nearby Playa Carillo for the day.
Captain William isn’t afraid, and he was more than happy to take Cameron Frowick’s group of Tyler, TX-based anglers.
Meredith Frowick wrote this nice post: “The day was amazing! Went out in the Pacific Ocean and we all caught something.”
“All together got 3 yellow fin tuna and 1 Mahi Mahi. Thank you Nosara Paradise Rentals for the fun time. We look forward to 2 more days!” — with Kyle and Abigail Brookshear and Cameron Frowick.”
The Harvester blitzed the billfish on May 19, with Craig Sutton reporting a big Blue Marlin release on the mega panga.
In addition, they also released a pair of Sailfish.
Great work by Captain Alex and the People’s Champion Harvester!
David Bryant performed brilliantly on the Discoverer with several nice Yellowfin Tuna catches reported by Captain Carlos on May 18.
Yummy!
Craig Sutton joined up with Captain David on May 17 and they kept busy with bunches of Dorados on deck.
Back in 2012 we hosted the Ganoe family of Jacksonville, FL as the winners of the initial FishingNosara Family Cup presented by Jax Kayak.
Little did we know then that Maegan Ganoe would chose Nosara as the spot to get married to her now-husband Jose Morales:
Of course no trip to Nosara is complete without a fishing mission, and the newlyweds took to the Harvester on May 17 for and incredible day of blue water action.
The headliner of this trip was a big Blue Marlin that snagged THREE! baits simultaneously…fortunately Mate Wilson took command of the cockpit and kept all three anglers on the same page.
What a monstrous fish, and a great release by Captain Alex.
“Thank you Alex for putting us on this huge Blue Marlin to celebrate Dads birthday & wrap up our wedding week here in Nosara! It took Jose, Daniel & I over 30min to reel it in! ?? Blue Marlin off our bucket list”
Later the mother of the bride Melita Ganoe nagged dinner in the form of this nice Dorado:
Best of luck to the happy new couple from FishingNosara.
