It’s always fun to see young anglers get a crack at blue water sportfishing.
Southern California angler Shawn Hagerty brought his family along for a great day of fun fishing action on April 15.

This first Sailfish was a monster and required a little help from Pops to reel it in.

The next two fish were a handful but no match for Team Hagerty.

Great work by Captain William and the mighty flagship Wanderer!
Tony Loff and his son enlisted the Explorer for a great day of offshore blue water action on March 30.

We got this nice email from Tony after the trip:
“Here are a few pics of the fish we caught with Fico and Johny. Those guys were awesome. They probably told you but we caught 2 sails, 2 mahi, and had 1 blue marlin and 2 sails chase the teasers to the boat.”

“Unfortunately they did not hit the throw back bait. We also lost 2 mahi. On a final note, the lunch was excellent. Thanks for the good time.”
Tony Loff

Captain Carlos nagged more great Sailfish releases on the 27th.

Excellent catches by the big battleship Discoverer!
The Explorer delivered the catch-of-a-lifetime for this fun fishing family on March 25.

Double Sailfish releases are tricky, but Mate Johnny stayed calmed and ensured the safe release of both fish.

Great work by Captain Fico and the Explorer!
On March 25, Steve Carlson and his kids posted a very memorable day on board the Discoverer. This Double Sailfish release is the highlight.

Great work to release all billfish by Mate Kevin, including this handful of other Sailfish catches later in the day.

Captain Fico kept scored throughout the month of March…check out this great array of catches from the 15th. They started with a nice Rooster Fish release by Kyle Sever.

Then they nabbed the elusive Blue Jack Crevalle, a rarity for this area and the source of amazing ceviche.

Team Sever then headed offshore and scored this excellent Sailfish release.

Our great friend Mark Cooney was on board and our Northeast Representative added to his legend with this another Sailfish release.

The mega panga and anglers Miles Clarkson and Aaron Revere had a mammoth day of Sailfish releases on March 14, with big numbers of big releases.

Miles sent us a very nice message:
“Craig, We had a great day fishing with Alex & Wilson!”
“They were very professional and put us on a bunch of Sails. Love the boat, too.”

“We has a great weak in Nosara and will make sure to recommend you guys to anyone we know heading down there!”

John and Alice Hagaman joined the Brent Cockerham group for a blistering day of action on the Harvester, highlighted by a swarm of Rooster Fish releases.

While they were offshore they nabbed several nice Dorados for the dinner table.

The cherry on top of this sundae was this beautiful Rooster Fish release.

Great work by Captain Alex!
March 10 was family-fun time, and Brent Cockerham’s family was up to the challenge.

The whole crew got a crack a Pacific Sailfish, with multiple releases filling up the Wanderer‘s scorecard.

Great work by this Texas-based fishing family!
