Lots of family fun and fishing action for client Scott Hansen on December 27.
Captain William reports several Sailfish releases by anglers big and small.
Great work by this hard-fishin’ family!
In the afternoon the Wanderer took Shelly Peters’ boys offshore and found the fish of a lifetime around 2pm.
This monster Blue Marlin easily weighs over 400lbs. and is the kind of fish that most anglers work their entire lives to conquer.
Amazing work by these young anglers, who also added a nice Sailfish release late in the day:
Roosters in the morning and Billfish in the evening…the flagship proves again why she is the best boat in Costa Rica!
Michael Koerner and his family scored a swarm of Sailfish releases with Captain Carlos on December 22.
The whole family got in on the action, with safe releases performed by Mate Juan Carlos after the photos.
Great work by the Discoverer!
The best thing about fishing in close blue water:
1.) Catching fish:
2.) Taking a nap at sea:
Nice work by this little angler and the Explorer.
Eric Dixon continued his light tackle fishing fiesta on the Discoverer with a nice Sailfish release backed up by some tasty Tunas.
Nice work by the boys on these yummy Yella Fellas!
Once again all of these fish were caught from a dead boat with 20lbs. spinning tackle…awesome!
After mastering trophy billfish releases on the 28th, Eric Dixon and the big battleship Discoverer turned their attention to the dinner table with several super-sized Yellowfin Tunas on ice.
The Yella Fellas have been thick this month and although none of these top Wayne Estes’ monster from earlier this week, these catches combined make for the biggest total haul of tasty filets we’ve seen so far this season.
They also added another Sailfish release to the scorecard later in the trip:
Great work by Captain Carlos and the unstoppable Eric Dixon.
The Wanderer continues her consistent fishing with a nice Dorado and a Sailfish release.
Unfortunately this Dorado managed to snap one of our rods, but you can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.
Nice work by this fun fishing family!
Two days after her glorius return to the blue water, the Explorer nabbed another three Sailfish releases with Roy and his family, including a triple hook-up that turned into a Double release.
Clearly the fish are here, but only the legendary Super panga is on the water!
The off-season warrior known as the Explorer is still on the water and Captain Carlos is satisfying his clients.
Roy Amodt and his family scored a trio of Sailfish, all safely handled and released by Mate Kevin.
Excellent work by the super panga!
After their excellent action offshore, Buz Underill returned to the Wanderer and opted to stay in close to ply the reefs just outside Garza Bay.
They deployed our exclusive Cubera Snapper Tactic and scored big:
This monster weighs at least 50lbs. and its filets will pair nicely with the 80lbs. of Dorado they scored earlier in the week.
Great work by Mr. Underill and the crew of the flagship Wanderer.
