Captain Alex brought the month of January to a magnificent close with client Jason Smith reporting big Sailfish releases:
The highlight of their double-digit release day with this Double Sailfish release executed by Mate Kevin:
They also nabbed a tasty Mahi-Mahi for the fishbox.
Excellent work by the mega panga!
Bill Elm had a terrific day with Captain Alex on the Harvester with lots of Sailfish releases backed up by some fat Dorados.
An early Sailfish release about 5 miles from shore set the tone, then the first big Dorados came through the spread.
More rowdy Sailfish came calling in the afternoon, but Bill and the boys were ready for them.
Great fish-handling as always by Mate Kevin.
The Harvester has already shattered expectations and we can’t wait to see what she will do next!
Returning client Bill Elms joined Captain Alex for a full day of action which included several Sailfish releases backed up a big dinner-time Dorado.
Tasty filets on deck for Bill!
Rich Lippo wanted to give the new Harvester a whirl, and was rewarded with a big day of Sailfish releases care of Captain Alex and Mate Kevin.
Great work by the Mega Panga!
The Harvester had the biggest day of her short career on January 27 with 11 Sailfish releses, including a Triple Hookup / Double release:
What a day for clients Greg Tilley along with Laura and Todd Horton…it certainly didn’t take Captain Alex long to get the Mega Panga dialed in!
Here’s what the clients wrote on Facebook:
“Fishing in Costa Rica is awesome! If you every get the chance…..GO!!!! We doubled up twice and tripled once. Caught a total of 20 sailfish on 30 bites. It takes a pretty good captain to get 3 sailfish to the boat at the same time and released”
“The first triple for thie Harvester. (landed and released all three fish) We also had two doubles (2nd & 3rd for Harvester)and the 1st time getting the 2 fish pictured together. Captain Alex and mate Kevin did an awesome job and I highly recommend them if you ever get to fish in Costa Rica.” – Greg Tilley
“Alex and Kevin are the ticket! Great captain and mate combo! Keep up the good work!” – Todd Horton

It’s been a fun two months of fishing like unemployed teenagers, but now we finally have wrapped up The Harvester Project and shipped the boat to Costa Rica.
We cleared customs and are driving her across the country on January 15.
The Harvester scored huge in her first day on the water. 7 sailfish released by Captain Alex and Mate Kevin with client Rob Hodde of Texas.
Fantastic work by Costa Rica’s newest fish-fighting weapon!
The Harvester is not just an offshore hunter…Captain Alex kept her inside on January 16 and got lots of good bites over the reefs.
The Mega Panga is scoring big both inshore and offshore!
Successful first water test for the 31′ Harvester!
We got her finished just in time to be featured on the upcoming Florida Sportsman Dream Boat TV. Big thanks to Dave East and Rick Ryals of Florida Sportsman Magazine.
