FishingNosara Hall of Famer Paul Worthington returned to Nosara to add to his legacy, and on July 8 this Florida angler scored this awesome Blue Marlin release.
Later in the trip they added an awesome Sailfish release to the scorecard.
In addition to the trophy releases, Team Worthington put several big Yellowfin Tunas in the icebox.
Mark Andrews’ group was back on July 4 and as part of their Independence Day celebration they liberated this massive 42lbs. Dorado from the sea.
This floor sweeper was backed up with another monster Mahi Mahi
Several big Yellowfin Tunas were also added to this mix; a great follow up to their Ahi haul from earlier in the week.
Finally, Mark got hooked into a BIIIIGGG Black Marlin with a spinning reel.
Wait a minute…how is he trying to fight a Marlin with a spinning reel? What could possibly lead someone into bringing a knife to a bazooka fight?
Oh, well that explains it. Anyhow the Black Marlin only fought for a few moments before it spit the hook.
Still, a great day from the Harvester!
Here’s the message Mark sent us: “Just wanted to thank everyone involved for such a great vacation. Great place to visit, great fishing, and wonderful people in Costa. Debra and myself had a great time. Thanks so much.”
After a few days on the water, the Wayne Voswinkel group finally hit paydirt on June 22 with TWO Marlin releases reported by the big battleship Discoverer.
Great work on this pair of fish-of-a-lifetime by these Texas anglers!
The Harvester took Chuck Harris and his group along for a big bill fish battle on June 13, nabbing this wonderful Marlin release with these North Florida anglers.
All this billfish battling can work up an appetite, so it was a good thing that Chuck scored this floor-sweeping Dorado for the dinner table.
Jeff Broome posted the trip of the year so far with Captain Alex on June 11. First off was a true Double Sailfish release.
After the safe release of both fish, they added a third Sailfish for good measure.
Then the real monster came calling as the Harvester reports another MASSIVE Marlin release (the second in two days):
Amazing work by Captain Alex, Mate Wilson, and these Jacksonville anglers.
Here’s what Jeff had to say in an email:
Craig & Matt,
Just wanted to say an enthusiastic THANK YOU for the incredible trip we had thanks to your team. In 3 days (June 9,10,11) we got 3 Marlin (2 blue and a massive black!) 3 sailfish, a huge Dorado, and a good deal more Tuna and Mahi.
Thanks to Capt Alex and his hard working deck hand Wilson, I was able to cross Marlin off my bucket list of fish to catch… definitely a dream for me and I know I speak for all the guys in our group that it was definitely the fishing trip of a lifetime!
You could tell how passionate Alex was about fishing… his favorite thing to say after we brought in a catch was, “Let’s get another one!”
