Captain Eduardo took the nimble Nice n’ Tight out to deep water to take a crack at some billfish. He has a knack for getting big results from his little boat and on this day in particular Captain Eduardo released an excellent Marlin.
Also this month client Greg Donoghue and his friends were on the Nice n’ Tight and had great action on Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado.
Another month of fantastic fishing by the legendary Captain Eduardo Carrillo.
On April 19, Dan Enki was with Captain Eduardo on the legendary Nice n’ Tight and had some great action inshore. He caught a sweet Dorado and a 10lbs. Ponpano as well. Great fishing on a half-day trip.
Since then clients Richard, Stephen, and Shelbi had a magnificent day fishing on the Nice n’ Tight. First they got a nice Wahoo and a beautiful Yellowfin tuna.
Then they capped off the trip with this fantastic Sailfish release. Great work by Captain Eduardo and the Nice n’ Tight.
The whole team was out on the water today, and though the big billfish were elusive today all of the boats got on some fish. There was a pair of sailfish strikes on the Wanderer but no releases; they spent the afternoon working over the inshore reefs and caught two Yellowfin tunas and a sweet Amberjack.
On the Explorer client Jess Lockmon took a 2.5 hour sunset fishing trip with Captain David, and they caught a fat Dorado on a slow troll. Great ending to a very long day for Captain David who mated on the Wanderer all day before this trip.
If there’s fish to be caught, you know that Captain Eduardo and the Nice n’ Tight will be right on top of them. With clients Steven and Liam on board, the biggest little boat in Garza had a field day on some football sized Yella fellas.
Captain Eduardo is coming on strong this season and once again is primed to be the leader of the pack. Yesterday, client Lillian on the Nice n’ Tight caught two Yellowfin tunas, a small grouper, a nice-sized White tuna and a trio of Jacks. These are the kind of species-diverse trips that have made the Nice n’ Tight a legendary boat in Garza.
What a fantastic day for the whole FishingNosara team! All Captains were on the water today and each caught lots of fish.
In the morning, Dennis was on the Explorer and caught three White Tunas, a bunch of Black Tunas, a nice Amberjack and lost two giant mysteries on the bottom. Captain David has got the Explorer almost dialed-in and the best catches are on the way from the Super Panga.
In the afternoon Kurt on the Cabo caught 12 Black Tunas and three macarellas with Master Captain Vibert. The Cabo is on a tear right now and Captain Vibert shows no sign of letting up.
Meanwhile over on the Nice n’ Tight client Steven brought home the bacon in the form of six White Tunas and two tasty Yellowfin. Great days for all the clients and proof again that FishingNosara delivers the Best Sportfishing in Costa Rica.
On November 18th these clients had an absolute blast on a half-day fishing trip on the Nice n’ Tight. They caught several tunas and enjoyed fresh sushi served up by Captain Eduardo. These clients also reported seeing schools of spinner dolphins and a small pod of gray whales.
Captain Eduardo and the legendary fish-catching Nice n’ Tight are back in the water and the fish are already running for cover. It’s a futile effort, because once again Captain Eduardo’s clients are going home with full fish boxes and big smiles.
On Tuesday November 16th newlyweds Miles and Vanessa Anderson had a fantastic day on the Nice n’ Tight with Captain Eduardo. In no time at all they yanked a nice 25lbs. Yellowfin Tuna off the inshore reefs.
Later, the line popped off as a massive Amberjack challenged Miles to a fight. With Captain Eduardo guiding the action, Miles Anderson prevailed and the happy couple celebrated their last day in Nosara with a Tuna filet lunch and an Amberjack dinner.
On behalf of the FishingNosara family, Congratulations and Good Luck to the Andersons.
Captain Eduardo’s performance has been outstanding the last month, but you must look past the catch count and poundage to really understand what make Captain Eduardo special. Check out this email we received at FishingNosara last week…it is unedited by our staff and represents a true testimonial:
WOW, what a thrill the fishing trips with Captain Eduardo were during our Nosara Costa Rica vacation this past week. Yes I said “trips”, we had so much fun our first half-day we went back the next week for a second half-day on the Nice n’ Tight.
I have to start with the whole group in the office of Fishing Nosara from Craig and the reservation I made a few months ago to Manuel in the Nosara office. He made me and my family feel so welcome and was so helpful. This is such a top notch outfit!
What can I say about Captain Eduardo, not just a great Captain, but an equally fantastic human being. He represents everyone in Costa Rica so well. We didn’t feel like we just went fishing, we made a friend. My boys are 10, 12, and 16 and he really made this fishing easy for them to do.
As far as the fishing, we got off to a slow start on the first trip, but hit some Mahi Mahi about 2 hours in, and we landed two and lost one big one. Then we caught a really nice sized Yellowfin tuna. We caught and released a big Needle Fish. In our five hours we saw hundreds of porpoises, manta rays jump out of the water, a marlin fly in the air, and a few sea turtles.
On our second trip it was just me and the two older boys. Twenty minutes out of port we hit tuna by using popper lures on the top water and in three hours landed 7 tuna, 2 Bonitas and a Rainbow Runner. We were beat and don’t think we could have reeled any more in so we headed in early.
Man, were the tuna fillets awesome and a local cook made Ceviche for us with the Mahi Mahi. It was out of this world.
I don’t know I can say “thanks” enough to cover how much fun we had and how much we look forward to visiting again.
On the December 1 Billy Tucker was on board the Nice n’ Tight for a morning of fishing. In just a quick trip he brought home four 25-30lbs. Dorados and four 15lbs. Yellowfin tuna.
Clients Mike, Patrick, and Ryan had a fantastic day of dorado fishing, filling the fish box with thirteen of the blue-and-yellow beauties, ranging from 10lbs. all the way up to a 45lbs. beast!
