Captain Fico closed out the month strong with a whirlwind of trips. The barroom brawler scored lots of nice Sailfish releases:
They also piled the fishbox high with great filets of Dorado and Snapper.
As always the most important thing is big smiles and fun times on the Explorer:

Brendan Chenowith brought his sons along for a great day of action the 20th.
They bested some blue water billfish and also deployed the flyrod for tasty treats.
Here’s what Mr. Chenowith had to say in an email:
Craig,
We had two great days with Alex on the Harvester. Alex put in a lot of effort to get us fish on the fly rods. He also did a fabulous job making our kids feel like they were the center of his attention.
His willingness to share his knowledge of the fishery taught us a lot about blue water and inshore fishing. We all came away from our experience wishing we far more time to spend in the Nosara area.
All my kids want to come back and fish again. I can’t ask for more than that. We intend to make it back soon.

The Harvester keeps on rocking with a quartet of Sailfish releases on the 9th with Daniel Rivara’s group.
The hits came early and often, keeping the rods bent all day long.
After the flurry of billfish action, these anglers scored a double Dorado hook-up and brought both beauties to the boat.
Awesome job by these New Jersey anglers!

Joined by Carl Lindberg’s group, Captain Fico struck again on February 6 with a sweet Sailfish release.
Then the next day they followed up with three more Sailfish releases.

The battleship Discoverer went on a two-way mission on February 3. Early in the trip they headed offshore to do battle with a pair of lovely Sailfish.
After the safe releases, Captain Carlos headed inshore for a super Rooster Fish release.

After this sweet Sailfish release, these Texas anglers scored a nice Yellowfin Tuna with a baitcaster reel he brought from home.
