On November 15 John Grumino hit paydirt on the Harvester.
They got right into the thick of the action with this nice Blue Marlin release and a Striped Marlin release.
Amazing action for these Garden State anglers.
The first day of the season filled the refrigerator with Yellowfin Tuna filets, so on the second day Craig and Javier went hunting for trophy fish.
Javier belted up for the first Sailfish of the day. This crazy beauty was darting back in forth above the water.
After a nice battle she was safely released as always.
Craig was next into the breach and waged an epic battle with a big Blue Marlin.
Dario Hernandez joined his father for this trip and snagged a few sandwich-sized Dorado filets.
This trip was also a training run for Mate Antonio, who most of our clients know as our panga boat driver; he will be assuming the mate’s role on theย Explorer this year, and will be training with Captain Alex on the Harvester to continue improving his skills.
The team shows us how to finish roughly poured concrete into smooth walls, ready for paint.
Up in the mountains, Javier and his family are known to catch fish from the river. Check out this tiny Snook catch from July 25.
Obviously we released this minnow, but hope to seem him downstream in a few years when he is worthy of a battle with Rey Robalo.
Pat and Leslie Patrick stayed inshore on the 27th. Captain Alex of the Harvesterย delivered this amazing Cubera Snapper release.
Nosara legend Dan Johnson returned to Garza’s blue water on February 26 to kick off a fun week of fishing action.
He hopped on the Explorer and hopped off with a bunch of tasty Yellowfin Tunas.
Theย Explorer and angler Sean Taylor battled a big blue Marlin on the 27th, and this monster put on a show above and below the water.
Amazing work by Captain Fico to wrangle this monster in for a safe release.
UK angler Peter Brumby joined the Harvesterย on Christmas Eve and they had a bunch of nice gifts under the tree.
“We had a great morning fishing today,” wrote Peter in an email.
The Lutz boys kept up the hot action on December 11. Captain Alex caught this amazing footage of BIG Yellowfin Tunas breaching the water:
They worked over the bubbling pot of fish and nagged this pair of excellent specimens.
Episode 2 delivers the big boys…get pumped for a monster Dorado, some great Sailfish and Marlin releases, and then a crazy battle with a big Black Marlin. The latter got away, but what do you expect with a mammoth like this one.
