Miriam Schroers’ family enjoyed all that our inshore fishery has to offer with an amazing performance on April 18.

After an excellent early-morning Cubera Snapper score, these anglers corned a medium-sized Wahoo who drifted a little too close to shore.

It’s unusual to catch a Wahoo this close to shore, but with Captain Alex it’s quite normal to score a nice Rooster Fish release.

Great work by Captain Alex and the Harvester!

The Harvester stayed inshore with Clayton Laskowski and his posse for a great day of action.

According to Captain Alex’ trusty Boca Grip this Cubera Snapper clocked in at 38lbs. Then they nabbed a nice Queen Snapper:

A big Dorado wandered inshore and fell into the Harvester‘s web.

Lastly they scored this nice-sized Wahoo. Pretty sweet to go home with three different kinds of filets!

They also busted this Barracuda who was trying to steal from the pantry:

Time for refreshments after a long day of action!

Clayton Laskowski and his buddy put on a show over three days fishing on theย Wanderer, filling the scorecard with a wide variety of catches.

The first day featured a raft full of Yellowfin Tunas backed up by a nice Dorado.

Later in the trip the Wanderer also found this excellent Sailfish, safe released as always.

On the second day Team Laskowski found more Dorados, and this time they had some serious size to them.

They even scored a couple of small Wahoos, an unusual score for this time of year.

The third and final day on the Wanderer featured multiple Sailfish releases and more Mahi Mahi.

After a run like this it’s no surprise that the boys were ready to pitch in on the filet knife. Great work by Captain William and these fun-loving anglers.

Joseph Caveness and his family chose the Wanderer on May 18 and the family-friendly flagship scored a wide variety of fun fish.

Joe started the day with a nice 20lbs. Yellowfin Tuna and then the kids took over the reel, scoring this nice Dorado.

Captain William moved inshore in the afternoon and young Mr. Caveness scored a small Bonita and a nice Yellowfin.

This 25lbs. Wahoo provided more diversity tot the filet bag, and is a welcome surprise to find this close to shore.

The fish of the day was scored by Mama Bear in the form of this wonderful Rooster fish release.

All in all it’s a great day of family fun on the famous flagship!

February 2, 2017

On February 2, legendary Texas angler Jerome McKown walloped a wicked Wahoo on the flagship Wanderer.

This deck-sweeper is a true monster; each side yielded four 1-gallon bags of filets.

That wasn’t the only fish of the day…this posse of CCA TX anglers nabbed a big Dorado and a number of football-sized Yellowfin Tuna.
