Michael Mariola brought his sons along for a family fishing outing on the Wanderer, and the fatherly Captain William showed the boys how it’s done with some big Sailfish releases.
Mate Johnson did an excellent job of making sure these monsters were released safely.
They also scored a small but tasty Dorado later in the trip…always nice to have some filets to bring home.
More nice Sailfish action to close out the month on the mighty flagship.
This monster was no match for the big blue beauty.
Another day, another Double Sailfish release for the famous Wanderer.
Seems like one is never enough for Captian William. Great work!
The Wanderer continued her hot fishing performance with more great Sailfish releases.
The blue beauty reports four Sailfish releases on the 22nd.
Great hunting by Captain William backed up by safe releases by Mate Johnson…all in a days’ work for the mighty flagship.
Our good friend Lynn Tebbenkamp had a rollicking good time on the Wanderer as Captain William scored a big Yellowfin Tuna offshore.
This is a rare catch for this early in the year, and is hopefully a sign of more big Yella Fellas to come.
They also released a beautiful Sailfish to round out the day.
On February 19 returning anglers Bob and Helen Goins executed a Double Sailfish release on the Wanderer.
Both fish were safely handled and released by Mate Johnson, however we chose to not get the double picture and instead let one go early to ensure the safety of the fish.
The Wanderer a fun loving group for some high-flying Sailfish action. These monsters gave the flagship all she could handle, but they were ready for the fight.
Great releases and great memories for this great group.
Bob Goins’ posse kept the pedal to the metal on their second consecutive trip on the Wanderer.
They nabbed four more Sailfish, all safely released.
Gotta love when these high-flyers put on a show like this!
