Robert and Inez Higginbotham joined our old pal Jay Thompson for a morning half day on the Discoverer on May 20.
Captain Carlos delivered the goods with some whopping Yellowfin Tunas!
On the afternoon of the 19th Captain Fico welcomed Kevin Mumphrey and his family for an morning half-day filled with fun action.
Their efforts yielded lots of good filets with a big Cubera Snapper and a nice-sized Yellowfin Tuna on ice.
Great work for just a five hour outing!
Joseph Caveness and his family chose the Wanderer on May 18 and the family-friendly flagship scored a wide variety of fun fish.
Joe started the day with a nice 20lbs. Yellowfin Tuna and then the kids took over the reel, scoring this nice Dorado.
Captain William moved inshore in the afternoon and young Mr. Caveness scored a small Bonita and a nice Yellowfin.
This 25lbs. Wahoo provided more diversity tot the filet bag, and is a welcome surprise to find this close to shore.
The fish of the day was scored by Mama Bear in the form of this wonderful Rooster fish release.
All in all it’s a great day of family fun on the famous flagship!
Captain Carlos nabbed a trio of nice Yellowfin Tuna on the afternoon of May 17.
Gotta love when the smiles are as big as the filets. Great work by angler Marshall Williams!
Captain William continued to follow the spinning pods of porpoises offshore, and once again engaged with big Yellowfin Tunas.
These are the perfect sized Yellowfins…any bigger than this and the filets lose their density.
These tasty treats are a very good sign as we progress into our second season.
Meghan Mumphrey and Austin Walker kept the good times rolling on the Explorer with a trio of nice Yella Fellas scored on a 5 hour morning trip.
Looks like dinner is served!
Troy Smith, Michelle Urso, Gus Harrison, and Cheryl Bluerock scored a ‘fourfecta’ of Sailfish releases with Captain Alex and Mate Kevin on the Harvester.
Ms. Bluerock is a pro photographer and put some really neat filters on these shots.
They also brought home dinner with this awesome Yellowfin Tuna.
Great work by the mega panga!
FishingNosara Hall of Famer TJ Conrads returned to Nosara with his wife Robin along with Kevin and Karen Bahr. They chose the Wanderer and scored a boatload of sweet fish filets.
Captain William located a massive school of spinning porpoises and the fish were excited to escape the cetaceans…right into the flagship’s fishbox!
In all they scored six Yellowfin Tuna averaging 20lbs., three small Dorado and a nice 20lbs. Dorado.
Here is what Kevin posted on Facebook: “We went with Captain William and his assistant,
The Harvester had a perfect day of inshore / offshore combo action, starting with a wonderful Rooster fish released inshore:
Then Captain Alex moved offshore to stalk the recently abundant Yellowfin Tunas with great success:
As the month continued our area was beset by gigantic meat fish.
Fighting these guys on Penn spinning tackle is a world of fun, and the filets are top-notch.
After this Yellowfin Tuna score, the Harvester dug in on one of the biggest Bull Dorados of the year to date.
This hatchet-headed monster was no match for the mega panga!
