After several days of consistent action, Captain William and the Wanderer earned their spot on the ‘Nice’ list, and Santa filled their stockings with an extremely productive day of off-shore action.

Client John Gaviotis and his group scored a quartet of Sailfish releases early in the day, all safe released by Mate Johnson.

All these trophy releases worked up quite an appetite for the crew, so Captain William followed the porpoises to the Yellowfin Tuna feeding grounds.

Looks like Christmas filets all around for John Gaviotis and the crew of the Wanderer!

Our old buddy Mike Burling has returned to Nosara from the hard-fishing town of Fernandina Beach, FL and once again scored wonderfully on our stretch of blue water.

The legendary Explorer was the scene of the battle, the highlight of which was this bonkers-big Yellowfin Tuna!

More big Yella Fellas were in the area, and met the same fate as their big brother:

They also nabbed few Sailfish releases:

They did have a big Marlin on the line, but the powerful beast spit the hook after a short sparring match with Mr. Burling.

That’s OK…we’ll get him next time!

Team Arrich finished off their three days of fishing with more great action.

Here’s Angie’s Facebook post:

“Day #3 on the Wanderer with Captain William and Alex! Sailfish, 8 tuna and 2 Roosters! Thank you guys for an amazing 3 day adventure! You’ll be seeing us again for sure!”

Look at the size of these Yella Fellas:

After mastering trophy billfish releases on the 28th, Eric Dixon and the big battleship Discoverer turned their attention to the dinner table with several super-sized Yellowfin Tunas on ice.

The Yella Fellas have been thick this month and although none of these top Wayne Estes’ monster from earlier this week, these catches combined make for the biggest total haul of tasty filets we’ve seen so far this season.

They also added another Sailfish release to the scorecard later in the trip:

Great work by Captain Carlos and the unstoppable Eric Dixon.

Master angler Waynes Estes just shattered our record for largest Yellowfin Tuna catch. This MASSIVE monster easily weighs in over 150lbs.

Even more impressive is that Wayne caught this beast on a spinning rod!

The bite came late in the day, and the fight continued into the dark.

Finally First Mate Alex got the monster on board…at first we only had these low-light phone pics of the monster:

Then Captain William saved the day by sending along his full-color shots, where you can see this Yellow Submarine in all it’s might!

Wayne also caught an 80lbs. Yella earlier in the trip, which on any other day would be the highlight of the trip:
