On July 19 angler James Frye and his group stayed close to shore and found that a swarm of large Yellowfin Tuna was there to meet them.
Why go far if you don’t have to?
They say that writing about catching a fish is like dancing about architecture, so this time we’ll just let the picture tell the story:
Great smile and great fish from angler Tracy Solomon!
Our old pal George Kommick had a wonderful run of trips with Captain Fico from July 15 to July 18th. The first day they filled the refrigerator with a wide array of tasty filets.
The highlight of the week came with the capture and release of this high-flying Blue Marlin:
Estimated around 400lbs., this is clearly a memorable catch for this great angler.
Captain Alex welcomed Raymond Plumb for an afternoon 2.5 hour trip, not enough time to head offshore but enough time ply the inshore reefs for a monster Cubera Snapper.
James Frye experienced MARLIN MANIA on the Harvester with two mammoth releases care of the Mega Panga.
One of these behemoths is clearly the fish-of-a-lifetime, but to score two in one day is truly legendary.
Amazing work by Captain Alex to hunt these monsters down and by Mate Kevin to seamlessly execute the releases.
The Wanderer kept the good times rolling on the 16th with exciting blue water action.
They hooked up with an energetic Sailfish and they boated some Yellowfin Tuna filets:
Kevin and Stephanie Bickers of Jacksonville had a big time with Captain Fico on the Explorer. They nabbed several nice Yellowfin Tuna and scored a wonderful Sailfish release.
After two solid days of offshore billfishing, the Captain Sergio group stayed inshore with clientsย John Martinez, Judy Martinez, Jerold Long, and Christine Long.
The strikes were constant over the eight hour trip with 13 Snappers caught along with other fun fish.
This nice-sized Rainbow Runner is certainly a tasty treat.
After loading up on Red Snappers (big and small), the crew hit paydirt with this 80lbs. Amberjack:
Everyone lined up to take a picture with this beastie.
The Discoverer kept rocking with Captain Sergio’s group reporting multiple Yellowfin Tuna.
Anglers James Koslowski, Mary Roberts, Gus Martinez, and Wayne Fernandez have plenty of filets for their time in Nosara.
They also nabbed a pair of Sailfish releases for the trophy case.
Captain Sergio was onboard with Wayne Fernandez, James Koslowski, Mary Roberts for another excellent day of action on Day 2.
The Sailfish were thick again and the Harvester was ready to score.
